I'm only giving this 1 star because negative stars are not an option!!! I have never been to a bank…read morethat takes more than 2 hours just to get change!!! Every time I come in there is a line of 10 people and there are only 2 tellers. Not one of the tellers give a crap! Try talking to a manager here...oh wait, there is NEVER a manager here...not on a Monday morning..not at all during the week...and definitely not on a weekend...I'm pretty sure this place is being ran by the idiots of Ellicott city! As a matter of fact...they are the idiots of Ellicott city! The crazy thing is I'm sitting here, in the bank now waiting for someone to fix a deposit of mine that they screwed up!! How do you screw up depositing money?!?! Example: I give you $100 and say put this in my account...they only put $50 in the account. What the crap! How does that happen?! Please people of yelp do not go to this bank!!!! I can guarantee you will be here for over 2 hours!!!

However, Parul Kapoor seemed very unaware of the cashier check policies and had to leave the table twice in 10-15 minute intervals to get answers from someone else. After one hour spent at the branch, they asked me to come back the next day at 9am to try again. I asked her if she would be present the following day at 9 to help me, and she told me either she or the operations manager would help me with no appointment necessary, even though I asked for one. On the next day, Parul was nowhere to be found at 9am. She had lied about her being there! Not only that, the operator manager Rheon Brooks, was unavailable for over half an hour when I asked to see her. Apparently there is only one individual in the entire bank who could approve that cashier check! Ridiculous! When Rheon finally found time to grace me with her presence, she asked me many questions to verify my identity, even though my identity had already been vetted in her presence just the day before. And in the end, she was unable to print the check because their printer could not print. What a joke! I was turned away to a neighboring BoA branch with a very insincere apology after I wasted another hour there. Within 10 minutes of entering the neighboring Turf Valley branch, I got my cashier check. This Ellicott City BoA branch has the absolute worst customer service I have ever experienced in a bank. I will never bank with them again and I will definitely take my business to another company.

The wait time to sit down and speak with someone was less than five minutes. They actually had enough employees working on this Saturday morning to get people in and out which was a plus. Let me tell you a secret... I hate the bank and I try to avoid it at all costs. LOL.. I am so glad it's 2019 and things are done online and through other electronic devices. While here I got everything accomplished in less than ten minutes. My bank rep was very knowledgable and knew how to accommodate all of my grievances. Hopefully everything will be great and I don't have to go to the bank until next year. I figured I would get a bank account across the U.S since I travel a lot. My poor little credit unions only have five Maryland locations. I know for a fact that Wells Fargo is better than Bank of America.

The teller refused to provide services when my turn arrived while a car that arrived after me was being served. Ten minutes after their closing time occurred when I was trying to use their services while waiting for almost an hour. Nobody from the office walked or notified any cars that that was waiting that they would not be served. I banked with Wells Fargo for almost five years. I"m considering closing my account and using a more reliable bank. A few days ago I requested a money order and the teller made a mistake telling me I did not have enough in my checking account for a $800 money order. Another teller had deducted that amount to prepare for my money order while failing to communicate properly with the other teller. I notified the teller to check my bank transactions again. Luckily I saw the deduction from my bank app. He later apologized and notified it was a mistake. Thank goodness for technology or I would had been robbed due to negligence.

But since First National Bank took over, the quality has dropped significantly. Every time I visit, there are three or four employees standing around without greeting customers or even smiling. Whenever I have a question, no one seems to know the answer. On one Saturday, I couldn't access my safe deposit box because the only person who could open it wasn't available. Calling the bank is equally frustrating--no greetings, no assistance. I'm planning to close all my accounts and switch to a better bank soon.

She was so understanding and responsive. She made the loan process seamless and we were approved for the loan within 5 days. Howard Bank has taken the lead to make sure the Loan Forgiveness process is easier for the customer. Howard Bank has all the products we thought were only possible with a big bank. But unlike Bank of American we can call at any time and speak to a friendly voice. We can put a name to a face as opposed to relying on someone different by phone every time to give us a nonspecific, generic, and negative response. We have a great working relationship with LeNora and Howard Bank Centennial Place. I was so pleased; I transferred my personal account as well.

I appreciate her approach with young adults opening any account for the first time. You can tell she genuinely wants her clients to use their account(s) efficiently. Awful First Encounter Since buying a home in Ellicott City…read morethis year I have been bugging my partner to open an account at the local credit union & leave her lousy commercial bank behind. Today she went to this location to open our first credit union account -and had such a lousy experience she already does not want to go back! They couldn't be bothered to say her name correctly, were not welcoming, and served others who arrived after her before her needs were met. Staff were self-described "floaters" not regulars so no regular relationships can be established, which I had been looking forward to at a credit union. And the (all white presenting) staff spoke loudly about a Black customers hairstyle, praising his "well kept" locks - ugh. To cap it off, they asked her to remove her mask ("masks are optional" according to the SECU website, implying at least that you can stay protected from disease at their branches). So disappointing and such a horrible introduction to our local credit union.
