She also confirmed that I am starting menopause. She put me on high blood pressure meds and told me that I was now pre-diabetic. She also suggested I consider going to SI Medical. Once all this sunk in, I made the call and got my first appointment. This may have been one of the best choices I have made for my health care. My first visit included all the normal checks, blood pressure, weight, measurements, etc. The scale they use is great - it gives you your BMI, water weight, and a few other details that helped me understand what areas I really needed to target. I met with the provider, and she was incredible. She knew the scare of the prediabetic diagnosis and reassured me that after my blood work was completed, she would help me face it and hopefully overcome that "fate". This is over a year later. I have lost 54 pounds, I am off my BP meds, and my A1 C is back to a normal range. I did use phentermine to help curb my appetite and some other meds that helped me in other areas. I am convinced that the B12 shots are helping me through menopause. My hot flashes are almost non-existent and I have been able to avoid hormone therapy. This is definitely a program designed for me. It wasn't an overnight change, I believe I can keep my weight off with everything I learned. The doctors explained the medication to me thoroughly and they take all of my measurements each time I go for a doctor visit, monthly. They are a caring staff and offer services by a dietician and personal trainer free of charge. You will pay for those services at other facilities. I also get the B12/6 Lipo shots weekly, not every two weeks. They are now billing medical insurance BCBS and will be billing other insurances soon. In the meantime you can file a claim with your insurance provider and it may be covered. Call them and check to see what they will cover. In my opinion the cost is well worth the results you will get. Thank you SI Medical for making me feel better about myself and to reach my weight goal!
