However, the experience was entirely ruined when I went to leave a tip upon exiting. I said to leave $10 on my card - which is a perfectly reasonable 17% tip on a service that costs $60. To that, my therapist flatly responded "No, that's not enough" and entered $20 instead. When I objected, she pulled out a "suggested tips" placard from behind the counter indicating that $15 was the suggested tip amount for a 60-minute massage. However, she hastened to add, "Only women leave me $15, if you are a man, you leave $20." I was dumbstruck, and frankly I should have grabbed my card right then and there and walked out due to her rudeness. But, due to the awkwardness of the situation, instead I only reiterated that I wanted to leave $10. In a huff, she entered $11 (not $10) and completed the transaction before I could stop her. Wanting to extricate myself from this incredibly uncomfortable situation as quickly as possible, I made no further argument and turned to leave. As I was leaving, she told me, "Next time you get massage somewhere else. You no come here again!" They won't have to worry about that. Buyer beware.

I don't know that I have ever had a therapist feel the problems in my back as intuitively as they do. They use the length of their forearms to massage and that really helps with not hurting my super sensitive body. They are always able to get out each knot that I sometimes didnt even know I had. On the other hand, if you want a hard, deep massage, they also have the ability to nearly bore a hole in your back, they're so good at it! I let her know I had a spot that hurt. There is a slight language barrier, but they use their phones to help translate and are able to communicate perfectly. Was told gift cards are only good for 2 months, so the expiration date was not correct. They had me go back in my bank statements and try to find the transaction since I didn't have a receipt. I could not find it since most likely my husband used cash. He even has a photo of the advertised special when he was in there. Obviously they need the business as there were no clients and they were able to schedule me over the phone last minute. This is not how you conduct business. I received a hot, waxy hand treatment, a foot soak, treatment and hot rock foot massage (heavenly!), THEN got to go into a peaceful, cleansing sauna. I coulda gone home fully satisfied at that point, but Crystal (massage therapist) was just getting started. I was served hot tea & yummy cookies, then ushered into a warm, calm, welcoming massage room. She worked on me from head to toe, front and back, LISTENED & applied more or less pressure to MY liking and proceeded to make me melt like butter. I've also had a 'trick' muscle I've been babying for months, and she was able to work it out so I could not only move it, but to a degree I haven't been able to in forever.
