Final review time: I tell you what I've had to put in 100% when it came to getting this and by the end of it I reached my goal. I just wanna give a special thanks to Flo in the main office I really think he is very underestimated this man made it work when it came to getting me out as soon as things started to look up. This man made it happen and I managed to get my license before my time was up very professional and patient which I can say is one of the saving graces when things started to look bad. The instructors put in work day in and day out and wouldn't be able to get here if it were for them. Special Shout out to Fernando! That man put the hope in you when you feel like you can't do it don't know how far I would have gotten if it weren't for him. Only thing I wanna truly cement as a complaint is that we be given specific instructions regarding our permits. Not their fault but when it comes to your permit be sure to renew or extend when you go over the thresh hold guidance on how to mitigate starting over would have been good. Special Thanks: Fernando, Hart, Elizar, and Flo! Y'all did what you could even when it came to fixing problems that weren't in your job descriptions y'all made it work regardless. Put in the work and you'll get it fast. They also offer veteran discounts and other forms of entry through government assistance. Ask Flo or Maria about these things they'll help. 1-877-575-3696 You won't regret this decision they help with employment as well even with DUI and traffic infractions. read more

After waiting 3 months to get a refund from them ... they suddenly shut down??? Will I have to file a claim??? It was over thousands of dollars read more

This truck driving school shut down suddenly with no notice, leaving students completely stranded. Many of us lost money and had our permits or training timelines disrupted with no explanation or support. Extremely unprofessional and careless. Avoid this school -- they clearly don't value their students or their futures. read more

Their "instructors" do not care. He was on his phone during on the road training and I almost crashed. The "instructors" suck, Why would you belittle your own students? The students helped eachother more than the "instructors" did. Majority read more

I'm currently attending this school. It's a very great school. The vibe here is awesome. Everyone is very helpful when you have questions. The part that I love most is the flexibility so I can come when I can. Pedro, Johnathon, and Martin are very helpful. Maria and Marisela are awesome in the office and also helpful. read more

Instructor was blunt and honest With me and really made sure I was ready. I passed on first try due to being taught right and held to a standard of excellence. Would recommend to anyone who is looking for a flexible schedule and wants to work and advance at own pace. If making excuses and not taking it seriously is your gig than don't bother. You have to put in the work and the time along with taking criticism in order to make it. In the end this school was nothing but good to me and set me up for success. read more

Unprofessional office staff. Unorganized, Unprofessional, and horrible trucks. I learned nothing and withdrew 3 months ago. I have my class A now and the office staff refuses to update me regarding the refund that I am owed. Trash!!!! read more

STOP!!! DON'T EVEN CONSIDER THIS SCHOOL! Take it from me as a former student who paid my school bill on day 1 (Don't ever do that) because you might need some leverage. I had to leave one star bc you can't leave it blank & still give a fair evaluation. Guys, I now have my CDL & I work for a local trucking company but I didn't get any help from Truck Nation, Salida. By the way, they have a school in Fresno, Ca also so stay away from both locations. With zero notice they shut down the school for a few months & promised to call me as soon as they re-opened ...nope, they never did. My good friend LL was there with me & guess what, they reached out to him bc he still had a big balance owing & they want that $$$. I ended up getting my license at another school at additional costs to me & moved on. LL did the same with me bc he hated the way they treated me. I asked for a refund & was told they would call me back to let me know what they would do & nope ...nothing, zero, nada! No call!!! Here is a little help, you need a school where the training team leads you & prods you to reach goals & accelerate your new skills so you will pass at the DMV. Truck Nation doesn't care how long you take as long as you pay that bill & trust me when I say you'll struggle unless you go to a more reliable & professional school. Good luck & hope to see you out here haul'n. read more

avoid this school at all times, this school scam me with $3000. they dont teach , and now i can't get my money back because no body is responsible for it, i got receipts and i can prove all this, if you want your money back they told you to contact a person trough email but the person will ignore you, trust me there is more better school's then this, give me money back read more

I had the best experience ever at this school I started on May 15th 2024 and graduated july 12th of 2024 the instructors tought me everything I needed to pass my test at the dmv. It was fair priced "actually cheep, cheaper than any school I looked into" but that doesn't mean you will be in bad hands I loved all of the people there, so much the day after I passed I went back and spent the whole day there. Because I missed all of it. If you want your class A, trust me this is the place... thank you Sophia thank you Chriselle thank you Marcos thank you Mario!!! You have changed my life for the better! read more

This school made my license come true for me, I could never say thankyou enough. From my first day to my last day, The training, Knowledge & even customer service I received the entire time made me feel like family with them. The staff worked with me every step of the way & they put the faith in me I needed to pass my test. TRUCK NATION IS THE WAY TO GO!! DO NOT HESITATE TO CALL THEM! read more

Truck Nation School - DMV Test - Driving Schools Near Me - Modesto, California

The school is extremely disorganized and unprofessional. You have to get the permit yourself with no help from the school to answer any questions you have. They direct you to the CDL Prep app and say good luck. After the permit, they hand you a packet for your pre-trip inspection and tell you to memorize it. There's no hands on training and will have to ask your fellow students for help for most of the information. Same goes for your in-cab inspection, air-brakes, and skills tests. If you manage you get far enough for an appointment, cross your fingers the school has their paperwork together. My DMV date was pushed repeatedly for 2 months after repeated insurance issues on the truck, out-of-date tags, and the truck breaking down. They're cheap but you get what you pay for. If you really wanna learn to drive a truck, invest in yourself, pay the bit extra if you can, and head somewhere else. read more

WARNING!! DO NOT ATTEND THIS SCHOOL. The instruction packet they provide is out of date and you WILL be failed at the DMV. Their trucks are always broken down or being repaired. Instructors are rarely available. When I called to speak with the owner, the office Manager Alyssa didn't even know who owned the school. BEWARE and take your money to a more reputable school. And don't wait on a refund. Read the other reviews and visit the BBB. You will see what you are dealing with! read more

I have only been going to this school for 3 weeks now. But I have been very happy with everything. The instructor's are very knowledgeable, & helpful. The ladies in the office are wonderful. read more

This school is terrible with communication they owe my husband a refund of 1,250.00 since 12/3/21 I have tried calling emailing the whole 9 yards I will have no choice but to make this a legal matter if this continues. I would not advise anyone to attend this school. read more

This place is horrible. I would advise anyone to go someplace else because ur pretty much teaching yourself. As for learning the skills part of it your only getting a 15 minute slot to learn before waiting for a long time to get back in the truck which is completely different from the test truck you use at dmv. Only 2 instructors and one is gone most of the day read more

My brother enrolled into this school and hes been very happy with the professionalism the staff and school has to offer! I recommend this school to everyone! read more

I just wanted to say thank you to marcos ,eleazar, Elissa for your help and support. Truck Nation School - Driving Schools Near Me - Modesto, California

Leo, Jesus, Esse and Girls at Truck Nation were excellent. The instructors Leo and Jesus are really good Teachers and really help you get you're license. If you are on a budget this is your place. They have fantastic packages. Some of the things that the school lacks are Having a bigger location as getting new Trucks. It would be very beneficial if the school had a bigger location with 2 of the Same trucks in the yard and 2 of the Same trucks for skills and driving practices. The school is up to date with DMV rules and regulations. Other than that the place is a great place to get you're license. Friendly staff and affordable prices is what Truck Nation School stands for. read more

My son paid a lot of money for his license and endorsements .After he paid he found out he couldn't get some of them because of his age. They wouldn't refund any money, This company is a joke they considered an instructor as sitting you in front of a computer he didn't pay for that. The truck broke down all the time and you wait hours for 15 min drive time . The instructor told the students they need to get there shit together when the instructor was to busy on his personal phone to pay attention. Also stated with the prices of gas were high so they stopped driving as much. Other students helped each other out . There was never a multiple of instructors on site. Thank god a friend of mine had a truck and I have a license to take my son out. Long story but what ever you do look else we're for a truck school. This company cares less for the students and only wants your money. I could keep going on but I am done with the school just stay away and you will go far . One last thing there was one instructor that helped out his name was Nick. My son told me he went out of the way to help when he was able to . read more

well I have read all the reviews and not sure what location they are saying is great but the Modesto salida location is a joke. There trucks are always beaking down the instructors are always quitting. You email the workers in the office they don't get back to you in a timely matter. Don't waste your money on this location. read more

Alyssa and the staff very nice, knowledgeable, friendly people especially Eleazar and Heart they are great instructors., When I drove the trucks from school it was like if the truck was my own because they give you the full trust. They go out of their way to help you pass. One on one training staying open late to make sure everyone gets equal opportunity in the trucks open on weekends ., Affordable the best price in town they even work with you on your payments to get your CDL., I recommended Truck Nation to anyone . "También hablan español tienen los mejores precios se las recomiendo " read more

came to get my CDL and that's exactly what I got! super helpful and nice. helped me every step of the way couldn't be more grateful for the staff. read more

Just completed my course. Definitely a 10 star experience. The instructors Leo and Jesus, work their butts off and really care and are personable which means a lot. Would recommend getting a few hours of one on one after hours it really helps. To the business owner from a business owner a few notes. Time to rethink the equipment was up months ago. Also might consider an additional truck and a part time instructor. The classes are big, and could use a boost from some additional personal. You want to keep things rolling and clients satisfied and stay busy reinvest a little bit. Other than that great job with your staff picks. read more

I started school in November. There is only two instructors so I doesn't get ANY driving time. The trucks are garbage and very outdated. We unfortunately wasted a ton of money enrolling, as new parents it's money we could of used toward a truck school where I could of actually learned something. read more

Good school to get your class A from. They put in as much effort as you do. With that being said if you don't put in the work then they won't either. One hand washes the other. Put your head down and stay focused & they'll get you out in no time. read more

This is for the Salida location. The training and material given was sufficient to learning and the instructors were always around when you had questions. They weren't there to rush you through sections you were not comfortable with. It was always a move at your own pace kind of setting. The office was always quick to respond to anything you needed and were always nice. My only real critique for the school is that they invest money into their "Day cab" school lot truck. It had issues, that while minor, made for a slightly annoying learning experience. That being said, would absolutely recommend to others. read more

Its a great school for those who wants to get there Class A license even if you have no experience. They will walk with you through each and every step prepare you for your permit and get you ready for your behind the wheel test. Instructor are great they teach you everything you know. Over all its a great school to attend i highly recommended! read more

I will not recommend this so called school to anyone because it's terrible. You are all on your own, there's only one truck on bunch of people so you need to wait at least 90 minutes to practice your skills only 10 minutes. It's a joke! I'm sorry I paid that money to learn by myself and to wait like a fool there all the time. And trucks are falling apart. It's just ridiculous. They need more instructors (who want to work), more trucks and much better organization. Took me almost 6 months there to get my CDL licence. Solamente horrible. read more

When I started this school I was not informed that in order to get a job with a trucking company I should have atleast 160 hours but since I knew better I payed more did I receive my class A yes the instuctors were very helpfull however the office is a problem I had an hour to go before my long awaited test they called me and say they need the last $500 before I can do my DMV apptment how unprofessional and frustrating I would not recommend this school to any of my friends. read more

No pressure. Learn at your own pace. Very patient.Loved the time spent and got my class A my first try would recommend to anybody

I graduated from Truck Nation School after 4 months. I highly recommend this school for anyone who wants to get their CDL at an affordable price in a short amount of time. I didn't have any experience in trucking prior to coming here. I was treated very respectfully by all the instructors and given lots of opportunity to learn how to drive a 10 speed. In order for you to do well here you need to make a commitment of coming at least 3 to 4 days a week. Treat the staff respectfully and be prepared to spend time here learning. Listen to the instructors and you will get your CDL. Thanks to everyone at Truck Nation. read more

I want to thank the staff at Truck Nation School for guiding and helping my son with obtaining his CDL. The office staff and instructors were great to my son and I. He was able to get his CDL license in 6 weeks! I will definitely recommend this school to anyone wanting to be a truck driver. Thank you thank you thank you! read more

this place only gets 2 stars because of George and Fernando they were great instructors but the equipment is falling apart and they tell you when you go to dmv to say everything is not broken or leaking when there are obviously many things wrong with the trucks and the dmv examiner called me out and marked me down on many broken items that i was instructed to say were fine by the school.....also know they only have one truck that gos out on the street and if they have dmv appointments you will not get any drive time they need another truck and and instructor so students can actually get drive time...o yea and have fun with no ac driving a rig in 110 weather it must of got to 125+ in that truck read more
