my first lady was shar. she was honestly super loud & i barely learnt anything. i would wait at the stop signs for minutes , waiting for directions while she finished her story. i felt uncomfortable the entire time. i felt under pressure & super uptight. i switched ladies to lisa. lisa taught me so so much & she gave me the confidence i have today. on my last lesson with her , we found out that my mom's car was too tinted to take my test in. lisa offered to bring her daughters car to the dmv for me to test in. i ended up passing first try & lisa congratulated & hugged me. she was such a good & kind soul. we talked about real things while driving as well. it felt like less of an 'assignment' & more of a hangout. through my two lessons with her i learnt so so much & i am super happy to be licensed ! read more

Turlock Driving School is an excellent place to take the classes necessary with an instructor. Their instructors were extremely courteous and had the heart of a teacher. They made you feel relaxed and prepared you for everything that you will experience on the driving test. They checked out your car to make sure that would pass the inspection on the driving test as well as practice other skills important in the driving test. In addition, the instructors give you important tips and tricks that are applicable well beyond what you will need in the driving test. I would highly recommend this place as it made me more confident with my driving skills and will help me drive safer in the future. read more

As an adult I was skeptical on how much I could actually learn from only three lessons while also having severe car anxiety. I came here to say, it's worth the money even as an adult learning to drive. My instructor was Shar and she was AMAZING. In only three lessons she made me feel confident and explained driving in a way I felt was easy to understand. I learned a lot and felt that Turlock Driving School made a huge difference when it came to preparing me for my behind the wheel exam. I passed my first try and only missed 4 points !! Amazing driving school! I loved how much effort they put into teaching kids how to drive. My instructor Robin was amazing! She thoroughly explained everything to me and took her time to teach and prepare me for the test. She made me feel very confident as well as comfortable. The sessions were very inexpensive and very worth it. I passed my driving test the first time i took it. I definitely recommend this driving school to everyone because of how great it was. I highly recommend this driving school! I was very nervous , but my instructor made it very welcoming and taught me so many new things that I didn't know! If I made a mistake she would go over it until I did it right, and that meant a lot because it showed she cared! My driving instructor is the reason why I passed my driving license the first time! Lisa was wonderful. She was very patient with my son. She made my son feel comfortable with encouraging conversation. I really appreciated how the owner sent me information to help prepare my child before his test. They were great answering any questions that I had. With all the COVID craziness Turlock Driving school was so flexible working around my son's sports/school schedule and was able to get him into their schedule earlier than expected twice. Good teacher. But don't take you on dmv route. I get that they can't but some need to know the route so it is easier to pass the actual test. Driving with instructor is easy but different when driving with actual tester for dmv. Also the yellow car is very small and easy to drive but in reality not everyone drives that type of car. They should teach on regular 4 door sedan cars to get the driver comfortable. read more

I realize I never updated my review when I did pass my drivers test! I passed my drivers about three weeks after the first one! honestly, after a year I still hear Shar's voice in my head telling me to back off when I'm too close to the car in front of me I'm always telling myself "safe following distance".
