The job had problems...A small tractor (a dingo) was used to move the mulch that left deep ruts in the lawn and pathway. Installation of the timer included taking a rock retaining wall partially apart (without asking) and using some of the rocks to loosely stack in front of the unsightly timer contraption that had been rigged up at the front of our home. All of the beds were not mulched. A rock retaining wall adjacent to a bed was heavily infiltrated with mulch that then took us three hours to clean out. There was no communication to allow for any changes in any of the agreed upon details of the original contract. They considered the job complete and were told we could hire them to come back.

They quoted us $1,850 and promised it would look "professional and clean" within two days. What a joke. They showed up late both days, left huge piles of old leaves and branches scattered across the yard for us to deal with, and barely touched half the shrubs. The mulch they dumped is uneven, full of sticks and weeds, and they spread it way too thin in some spots and piled it up against the house in others--like they were trying to hide the fact they didn't weed first. Now my foundation is probably going to rot. The lawn edging looks like it was done with a drunk weed eater. Crooked lines everywhere, and they scalped the grass in several patches so bad it's brown already. One of my rhododendrons got completely hacked up--branches just snapped off and left lying there. When I called to complain, the owner got defensive and basically said "that's how it's supposed to look" and "you should have been more specific." We paid half upfront like they asked, and now they're dragging their feet on coming back to fix anything. I had to spend another $300 just to have a different crew come clean up their mess so our yard doesn't look abandoned. Save yourself the headache and money. There are plenty of honest landscapers in Sherwood and Tigard who actually know what they're doing. This company ruined our spring curb appeal and wasted two weekends of my time. Never again.

Nope Blake's Coastal Nursery does not carry carnivorous plants but it's still an amazing nursery. Obviously the chickens will always be my favorite! Only if baby goats and chickens were together would it be better. I digress. The grounds looked awesome. I liked the fountain BY the chickens. I took a picture of this really beautiful woman sitting by the fountain. She really made the picture better. If you live in the area, your blessed with a nursery that has a great selection of plants, shrubs and small trees. Don't forget to check out the chickens.

We drove three hours to meet them at the agreed upon time and waited an hour for them to show up. Nothing. They never showed up. We called the night before, the morning of our appointment, and 1.5 hours after our scheduled time. No one answered our calls and none of our messages were ever returned. When we initially spoke, the owner told us they would be sending an email with information about a landscape designer they recommend. That email never arrived. Highly unprofessional, poor communication and incredibly inconsiderate.
