I had a Philippe Augé painting from the 1970s that I loved but the paint was buckling and about to…read morefall off in many places. I called Andrei and he had worked on an Augé in the past. He knew the painter's technique and said it suffered from "inherent vice," which meant the technique itself was causing the instability of the paint. He was very honest about why it would be a difficult job and what he thought he could do for the painting. When I saw the result of his restoration a few months later I was absolutely thrilled. The painting is as beautiful as ever and now has a vastly extended life. The cost was reasonable. I cannot recommend Andrei highly enough.
