My wife called Dr. Kaplan's office on my behalf reporting a lingering cough. His office scheduled…read moremy appointment (which indicates to me that this is something he can evaluate and treat). Arrived for the scheduled appointment and had a 30 minute wait (not surprising). Spent a total of 5 minutes or less answering a few questions. He did not even look at my throat, but ordered an x-ray. Ended up going to another doctor (ENT), who took care of the problem. I paid for the x-ray, but refuse to pay for his "screening office evaluation". His office should have never scheduled this appointment in the first place. I made it clear to his billing office, in writing, that I have no intention of paying this bogus bill and why. Now he is chasing me for the $185 bill via a 3rd-party collection agency. You should get a bill from me for the 2+ hours of my time. Well, Dr. Kaplan can rest assured that he will no longer receive any business from this family or anyone else I can refer away from you. My FICO is 829, and am not the least bit concerned that reporting this unpaid bill to the credit bureaus will have much effect on that.

I scheduled my echo and came in to have the test done. I was told I don't need to pay a copay. The echo tech was extremely impersonally and borderline rude. She muttered a few words to me and finished my test in less than 10 minutes. When I was done she turned her back and told me to get dressed and I could leave. When I went to the front desk to ask when I would receive my results, I was told I could wait in the lobby if I had time and receive them then. I said ok. Then I was asked to pay $40 to do that. When I saw Dr. Patel. His only advice to me was to "lose weight aggressively" which does nothing to explain the a-fib or irregular heart beats. I will not be returning to this doctor.

I applaud her for her charging as it makes it clear that she values her own time as well as the time of the patients that have later appointments. I saw two other doctors in Houston specializing in women's hormones before finding Dr. Yelin. I feel far healthier and more balanced under Dr. Yelin's care than those prior two. More concerning was that my ability to receive care appeared to be influenced by my husband's account status rather than my individual medical needs. This raised serious concerns about professionalism and patient-centered care. Additionally, the billing practices were excessive and unexpected. Appointments routinely exceeded $550, and I was charged at a rate of approximately $175-350 per hour for every minute of time spent, similar to an attorney's billing structure. Because there is no support staff, any time spent outside of scheduled appointments--regardless of how brief--was also billed by the minute. This was not clearly communicated upfront and felt unreasonable given the already high cost per visit. Patients deserve transparent communication, ethical decision-making, and care based on medical need rather than financial considerations. Unfortunately, that was not my experience, and I cannot recommend this practice.

I am so thankful for Dr. Roeser because he did an excellent job on my C4-C6 Disk herniation. All of Dr. Roeser's staff are all so kind and caring. His senior patient coordinator Rosa does a fabulous job at her job she was so fabulous to work with before and after surgery!! All of Dr. Roeser's staff that works on his team are by far the best group of people I've experienced as a patient all of them were so kind, caring when I went in for surgery! My surgery went well and everything went great! I DEFINITELY recommend Dr. Roeser to anyone!! He is a phenomenal neurosurgeon!!

In addition, everyone I know who has had back surgery complains for years about the ongoing pain. Needless to say, the day arrived for my surgery and I was petrified. Dr. Roeser, Board Certified in Neurosurgery and graduated from Baylor Medical School with High Honors, was very reassuring and calming which really gave me confidence in Dr. Roeser and the procedure. Once I woke up from the anesthesia I could not believe that the surgery had already taken place. My friends had also forewarned me that within a few days, when the anesthesia wears off, I would experience severe pain. I experienced a low grade pain that was easily abated with my ibuprofen for arthritis. I was provided with a walker that I only needed to use for a couple of days. Now I realize why Dr. Roeser had been so highly recommended by several doctors. After my personal experience with him I can understand the reason he is so well regarded in the medical community. I thank Dr. Roeser for making my life so pain free. He is a fabulous surgeon!

Im 75 yrs old my husband is 80 we both have severe osteo arthritis , mine since i was 52…read moreprogressively worse now ,my hands feet knees back shoulders and neck . resulting from multiple injuries / surgeries including 2 total reverse shoulder replacements.i have bone spurs everywhere & in both feet causing me agony with every step . i have scoliosis spine curve of 67 degrees that started when i was a teenager .which is way too far gone for surgery at my age. but since my pain management dr can no longer prescribe Tramadol ,or anything to anyone to help the pain at all, i tried Dr Mukalel. as i was told its case by case basis at his office. after a 2 hour wait,the first thing he said to me was "Are you wanting to get opioids from me? " I just got out of surgery and rehab hospital for last shoulder replacement.He didnt even look at my records or history which had already been sent to him. He wouldnt let me explain all my surgeries. He didnt listen to me at all. He proceeded to bad mouth my other Drs and My insurance a medicare advantage Cigna/Heathspring. Which he says will not pay for treatment or the therapy he insisted will help me.He said I need a medicare with a supplement which I know is another 300$ per month for both me and my husband . we live on social security . we cant afford a 600$ + part D plan coming out of that. He is listed as a Cigna /Healthspring Dr. Why I dont know ?cause they have been paying for everything on EOB i get every month. .He said "Im not the Dr for you"Because I have too many things wrong .But he said I can do more Ablations on your husband and do surgery and therapy, I guess he does not like" White" women. but likes the White men? We told the doctor that my father has a pacemaker and he said that it wasn't an issue and left. One minute. That was all the time he spent with his patient. We then left to go have the MRI done and, surprisingly, they informed us that he could NOT have an MRI done because of his pacemaker. They suggested a CT scan and reached out to Rance for his approval. My elderly parents sat waiting for his response for over an hour. Rance never responded. Let me repeat - he never responded. This occurred on a Friday afternoon. Does Rance leave early on Fridays? We don't know because he never bothered to reach out to his patient or to the facility that he referred us to. Patients beware. This guy will not work for you - especially on Fridays. Terrible experience.

I am shocked and dismayed about this providers practice. I have sought Dr Deckers treatment for…read moremany years. I have brought my family to his practice and entrusted him with all aspects of my health. Though his treatment was somewhat remedial and arcane, I felt his seemingly genuine concern compensated. His long time staff was highly efficient and I felt a familiarity with them that was comforting in times of need. However, in the midst of my illness following exposure to black mold and asbestos, he determined to sever me from his practice and my treatment for missed appointments. When I called to clarify I was told he had a policy of discontinuing treatment after 3 missed appointments during the entirety of service. This to say that if you are a patient for 7 years and in that time miss 3 appointments he will terminate service regardless of health conditions or treatment. In my case, it was stated that he was 'generous' and 13 months ago and gave me a fourth opportunity. Rhyme nor reason for the missed appointment matters. My problem is that this policy nor cancellation policy is displayed promenintly or otherwise reminded until it's already a problem. It would seem practically effortless to add this information when setting an appointment or during check in just as updating other information including insurance information or billing information. Many practitioners have missed appointment policy however, in my experience, others make it very clear when setting appointments or sending appointment reminders. I was literally sobbing in devastation. I am a firm believer that when one door closes another opens so my life will be fine absent this man, though no credit to him. But I would not invest too much trust or emotion in a practice that will dispose of you like yesterday's trash before posting or annually updating policy for patients that could have devastating results if not followed. I stayed with this practice because I believed he actually cared for me and my loved ones. But he has made it clear it really is about business and softly spoken but highly consequential personal policy. I was told that though I am the primary insurance holder my husband and children are still welcome...just not me. If it weren't so offensive I'd lol but instead I can only smh. Years building a relationship in vain. I fear the righteousness I believed I saw was more accurately self-righteousness. I feel duped. Just my opinion, proceed with caution. Not all that glitters is gold. Follow up: Dr Deckers 'three strikes, you're out' is not listed on the online appointment booking either. And, I did not confirm this final appointment.
