So I got the Cubano $8, an included side of sweet pepper slaw (vs the other slaw & chip options), and a 24 oz can of Arnold Palmer tea $1.50 from the cooler. So the whole shootin' match came in under my $10-$15 lunch price window. So it was mighty inexpensive chow. Sandwich was generously stuffed with shredded pork, a couple thin ham slices, pickles, and the mandatory mustard stacked between a couple slices of white bread that proved to be sturdy enough to keep the sandwich together, in spite of getting somewhat soggy as I squeezed the sandwich into my mouth. The taste was on the mark. The taste profile & balance of meat, pickle, & mustard flavors were solidly on target. As noted, the portion was generous & I was plenty full by the time I polished off the whole thing. On my way out I grabbed a couple brownies $2.50 ea for dessert this evening, or whenever I next get hungry after my tasty & quite filling lunch at Simply Good. I'm thinkin' a breakfast trip to visit this fine Mom & Pop shop for a cuppa joe & pastry are on the schedule some morning soon.
