Katie used her hands at the beginning to gently hold my head and allow me time to decompress and start to relax. It worked magnificently. Then I asked for a specific, and different, firmness level today, which I don't usually do. Katie adjusted to just the right amount of pressure to give me the exact massage I was hoping for. I asked her to finish the overall massage a few minutes ahead of schedule, and she adjusted her timing just right, and then I asked her to utilize the saved minutes by going over a particular area a second time. This made the ending of the massage particularly memorable. All of her attention to detail and care and understanding made for a truly exceptional massage. I can't wait to go back again.

I left feeling way better. He gave me stretch recommendations for at home which I really appreciated. The room I used was clean, nicely decorated, & cozy. John,the practitioner was professional, attentive, and an all around great guy! He made some very helpful suggestions when it came to my diet & life style that would help improve my circulation & ease the stiffness in my joints. Thanks to his adjustment, I instantly had more mobility the next day & was able to kneel, lift & restrain the 150 lbs dogs I was training with at school. I was also able to sleep better and woke up with very little stiffness or numbness in my body...lasted 3 months before I needed another massage. John was also so polite that he gave me an extra 1/2 hour free of charge! I realize that this is not your typical spa like environment but that's one of the things I like best about this business. It's not stuffy, over priced or part of a chain of franchises- just the real deal at a fair price :)

Just got out of Teeze West (odd that it's only called 'Spa on Merriman' on here, but it's the same…read moreaddress), and I had a dry manicure+Shellac. I wouldn't so much call it a spa (though, they do have spa-like services). I'm a LOT spoiled by the Pro Club in Bellevue, WA that was a true day spa (fluffy robes, wooden lockers in the locker room, Mimosas while waiting, et cetera). However, it was a clean place with decent prices, so I can't really complain about the naming. The gal who took care of me was a sweetheart (she did her best with the awkward 'first time client' banter, I really appreciated it). My nails are gorgeous, and I'm really looking forward to seeing how long this "miracle" nail polish lasts. Shellac (for those who don't know what this is) is a UV-cured gel that goes on like a polish but hardens like gel nails. Except there's no filing of your natural nail and when it comes off, you still have nice looking natural nails. Without a tip, my manicure cost $25. Which given that I called around to several places, they had the best price I found in the area (others ranged from $40-70). Granted, this manicure should last two weeks, so I don't mind paying more, but I was thrilled with their price and the convenient location (right smack between my home and work). I didn't look at the rest of their prices for services, so I'm not sure how they compare otherwise. The gal who did my nails said her women's haircuts were $35, but it seems like it varies from stylist to stylist. I'm only deducting a star for the strong chemical smell when you walk in. I will definitely be going back, but the chemical smell was rather off-putting. I'm used to salons smelling like salons, but this was stronger than normal.
