They do not honor their appointments. I made an appointment for noon, arrived at 11:55 and was…read moretold my stylist was running a few min behind. 25 min later I had still not been seen. Asked the receptionist what was going on, and she stated she could "find out how much longer it was going to be." The stylist never came out to explain how much longer it was going to be, never suggested scheduling a different time, absolutely nothing. Why would I want to wait even longer after experiencing that kind of treatment.

First of all, I plan on updating this review when I've had more experience with this business, but…read moremy experience today wasn't so great. I have some suggestions for improvement, but since there's no website or e-mail address, this is where I'll post it. 1. Needs a website with hours, schedules, prices, etc!!!!! Just fork over some money and hire someone to develop a website. You just send them all of the schedules and info and they'll build it for you! It's the 21st century. Hard to have a respectable business without a website. 2. Need to hand prospective clients a packet with an aerobics schedule (with the class descriptions actually printed on the back- not just a blank page), massage info, salon services and pricing, gym membership info, tanning info, etc. I got the gym info (after asking for it) and forgot to ask for the yoga/ aerobics schedule. Went back to get it (no website so I couldn't get it online) and they couldn't find it. They finally found the file and printed off a copy (after adding paper to the printer)- minus the back page with the class descriptions. I called back when I realized I didn't know what type of yoga (gentle hatha or sweat-your-brains-out?) they offered. The woman on the phone had no idea and couldn't find the info. If you offer a ton of services you should have sheets with the info readily available. 3. The cardio equipment is crammed into a little room with no windows and nothing to look at (well, a TV mounted way up in the corner). All of the weight equipment gets center stage along the windows. Now, I know I'll spend 30 minutes on cardio equipment and less than 5 minutes per machine on the weight equipment. It would make sense to line your windows with the view of the outside with the equipment that people spend the most amount of time on. 4. I am torn, because they have the equipment I want to use, but it seems like such a poorly run business I don't want to waste my money on someplace that can't get it together. I have a week pass. I am going to check it out, but I have a really hard time rewarding a business that seems so unorganized with a year-long gym membership and paying for salon services and massages. Dangit! And they are so close to my house...

I am disappointed in the way that Palm Beach Tan handles their ongoing billing. I signed up for the…read moreStay and Save program. This is a good option if you want to take a break from tanning. You pay a nominal fee of approximately $7.50 per month and whenever you decide to start tanning again, they will keep your monthly rate the same even if they have raised their membership fees. I came back and started tanning again on Feb 1st (2023). I let them know on that date that in speaking with my bank, I had some fraud on my account. I explained this to the front desk and gave them my updated bank card. I then noticed on Sunday, March 5th, that my debit for March hadn't been taken yet. I went by this evening (6th) to inquire about my March payment, wondering if they had just gotten a little behind. The latest they have ever taken it was the 4th. I was then informed that my debit for March had not gone through and my monthly membership is $117.85 but now they have added an additional $10.00 fee. I asked where did they "attempt" to debit me and she gave me the last 4 digits of my old card - the one that I canceled on 2/1 and I already gave Palm Beach my updated card - which I just explained to her. She then stated "I don't know why this keeps happening". So I asked her if this has happened with others and she looked up at me and said "no". But it was inferred that this has happened with others. In any case, now it's 7:59 pm and I asked may I please tan since they are closing in 30 minutes and that I will straighten this out first thing in the morning. She said "no, you are not allowed to tan when you have a balance and you now have a late fee". So, this is pretty much the straw that broke the camels back, for me anyway. I tan because it helps with my depression and it just makes me happy. But there have been no happy dances from me of late. I just wanted to stop in, tan in a 12 minute bed, relax and shut out the world. Instead, my anxiety went thru the roof and I was kind of made to feel like I'm a criminal or something. No management was on duty to assist with this. Not good...............
