I am so sorry but who is the manager of this location? You need to be replaced. When you walk in it smells ATROCIOUS. I thought they mixed cleaning products wrong but based on the cleanliness behind the counter I feel confident that no cleaning products are ever used. The station is nasty as hell, fruit all over the place, in other fruit bins, and it's clear it's been sitting there at least all day (at 2pm), maybe all week for that matter. Water all over the damn counter where the blenders are, like flooded. Zero attempt by the staff to clean it up btw. Just working in it, unbothered, and SLOW. The counter where you get your food was dirty, the rack holding whatever items on the front counter is rusted all over the counter. Another customer walked in, and immediately left because the smell was so bad. I'm contemplating not drinking my smoothie because I'm truly concerned I might get food poisoning. What the hell is going on in this store? I'm thinking about calling the health department because there is no way this location could pass inspection. I will never go back. read more

I'm a tropical smoothie card member and this was by far the worst experience I've ever had. I ordered a smoothie and a sandwich. I got the smoothie and never got the sandwich. I waited almost 30 min to the point that the people that came in After got their order and left. Unprofessional, unsanitary, no customer service skills. Will not be visiting ever again. read more

Wow just wow Not enforcing wearing a mask here! One out of the 7 employees were wearing their mask the right way! What good is a mask If you have it pulled down ? In addition there were large groups of teens in the store not wearing masks either! Just messy read more

Worse service in Hampton. Ordered online and they still couldn't get it right. Half the food is missing. Two thumbs down.

The food is mediocre. The customer service is extremely lacking. I asked if they had any sauces I could order on the side. The cashier said yes and stared. ..I asked if he could name a few or if there was a list. He simply said "there's a lot of different ones". Ordered a wrap for my 11 yr old, and he comments "are you sure she'll like that? " (my child does not eat chicken nuggets, burgers and such) I only stopped here b/c I have an eye Appt at America's Best. Won't be back. Someone just rolled a garbage bin through the dining room. ... you can't make this stuff up!!! read more

We usually get smoothies here all the time, but yesterday when we got our Mango Magic smoothie, we noticed that it was a little rough on our throats. Meh, we figure, maybe it's just cold? When we get home, I take another drink of it and bite down on something hard. I spit it out - it's a piece of plastic - clear, long, kind of like a fish bone, if I had to compare it to something. Still, I give them the benefit of the doubt, figure - could be an honest accident? No. The ENTIRE smoothie was filled with these plastic, spine-like things - as though a blender was broken and the blade continuously shaved off the side of the blender. Now, today, we both have terrible stomach aches because we both had drank at least 1/5 of the smoothie before noticing what was in it. Faulty equipment or not, this is easily something that some one could sue over - and if the smoothie had been given to someone younger? A child? It could seriously hurt them and damage their esophagus or cause them to choke. There is no excuse for this - if you are too lazy/cheap to keep up your equipment then you don't deserve all these 5 stars that I am seeing on here. We will never come back. read more

So many options. They make a green smoothie and you have the choice to get a detox version. The smoothies were very tasty and not overly sweet. The service was friendly and efficient. Download their app for $5 off your first purchase! read more

Owner of this franchise is a terrible person. Got a $9 refund for over a $35 order that was delivered half missing. Half of what WAS delivered was completely inedible. Owner argued repeatedly refusing to make things right. read more

I ordered a Buffalo chicken wrap, which was excellent and way better than I expected. I also got a mango moxie smoothie, which was was made just as I wanted with fresh mango. This place is run well with cool employees and fast service. The line was long but was very quick. A Hidden gem. read more

Tropical Smoothie Cafe - Tropical Smoothie - Juice Bars & Smoothies Near Me - Hampton, Virginia

Tropical smoothie is prolly one of my favorite places to go for lunch to get a quick bite and maybe a smoothie. I work near this location and prolly for the last few months, a couple of times I have comes here during my lunch break, but I don't normally take or get a long lunch break, so I call in my order to get it started. However the last time I called in my order they said they don't do that, and the guy that picked up the phone was literally arguing saying they never did it. Even though I told him I normally call in my order but he wasn't having it. I told him I literally work 5-10 away and I was literally on my way driving when I called it in but ended up saying he couldn't do that. So I literally drove there, places my order and prolly like 2-3 other people were ahead of me. Didn't get my food for like 25-30min. I'm just wondering why you would say you don't take call in orders when like every single restaurant and food place does it, including every other tropical smoothie. It's just so stupid, to me why anyone would do this, but due to my last visit... I guess I won't be coming back here again, but do let me know if you change your mind or "policy" on taking call-in food orders, I may give you a second chance. read more

Tropical smoothies are pretty much all the same. This one happened to be extremely busy today, but it was understandable with the warm weather. The place was a bit too dirty and messy because of the amount of foot traffic. However, the staff were quick and polite, which is always a plus. Just hope its cleaner and less busy on my next trip there. read more

This tropical smoothie always seems so disorganized. I order ahead every time and usually still have to wait at least 15 minutes when I arrive due to an item missing out of my bag and/or the smoothies aren't ready. Maybe it's a management issue but somebody needs to get it together. read more

Having been here several times, I'm watching the establishment decline. Staff is not neat and clean in appearance, there are no hair nets worn, they do not wear aprons, often are handling money to then prepare and make a smoothie but they are not washing their hands, the food prep surfaces are not well kept; disgusting actually. The place smells of fermented fruit and there is usually small mountains of fruit on the floor at any given time of the day. The first time I encountered it was around 8 p.m. & I even inquired about it and was told that this is what the process looks like for breakdown prior to closing. Well I've been there around the lunch hour and evening and it looks the same. I no longer eat/order from this establishment. read more

I ordered an Italian sub and it bearly had any meat on it and it didn't have Italian dressing! You call that an Italian? A few thin slices of meat? What am I paying for not the warm welcome or customer service. I got ripped off! Don't go to the Jimmy John's in OTC, you won't get any meat in your sandwich but, if you're a vegetarian then I guess your welcome there. Sux!!!! read more

This pace is iffy. Sometimes the service is good and other times it sucks. Depends on who's working. Smoothies could use more flavor but decent. read more

I had horrible customer service, the workers in the back had no idea what they were doing . If I could put zero stars I would . My experience was awful read more

This is by far THE WORST Tropical Smoothie I have ever been to. My order has been messed up 2x. The mobile order is pointless because I still end up waiting 10min after it should have been ready. I think they need more workers and better training on time efficiency and customer service. This location is so convenient for me but I will have to take my business elsewhere if it doesn't improve. read more

Not the best food, the smoothie was watery, I ordered my food with no cheese, after much debate, they had to remake it. At this time I was already on an extended lunch break. I had to grab the food and run back to work. I ended up taking just a couple of bites then throwing it away. Will not be going back. read more

Just found out through UberEats customer service that TSC advertises chips and cookies at $2 but actually rings them up at $4 in the cart. Thought it was a mistake and tried to get the additional charge refunded, but no. You aren't allowed to "choose the flavor." How would I not choose the the flavor? You literally have to! They also didn't add the spinach to my smoothie which I paid extra for and didn't give me my spinach and apple coleslaw. CROOKS. Do NOT order from here unless you want to be robbed. I actually have been against leaving poor reviews since the recession bc its bad for the economy, but I hope these crooks go out of business. read more

I am very impressed with this TS. This store is located in close proximity to numerous military bases and is thusly a very popular lunch spot for many young soldiers, airman, sailors and marines. In spite of that heavy daily volume the friendly staff at this TS efficiently churns through the orders eliminating extraneous wait times. The owner and manager of this shop cultivates a very pleasant atmosphere. It is a pleasure to visit this location for my daily avocado smoothy fix! read more

the service was good, but my smoothie has chunks of ice in it and my kale and apple salad had old pieces of kale in it and was not edible! this is the first time i've been disappointed at a tropical smoothie cafe! read more

Been here two separate occasions...and they ran out of ingredients both times. Ok fine that happens, but they didn't tell me one of the main ingredients of my smoothie was out and still made it and let me leave with it! I took and sip and it was so bland so I went back and let them know...the worker in the back said "oh yeah we ran out of toasted bananas"... why make it then?! And not tell me! Also, they take forever to make smoothies. read more

The service at most locations are sufficient and some are more friendly than others. This particular location is very consistent with the amiability of the staff so I return a couple of times a month for lunch. Today I ate the Cuban sandwich on pressed bread and was somewhat satisfied, so if I were selecting the number of stars I'd say three, but the service is great so they earn a four. The issue with the sandwich is the quantity of the meat for the price. Had it been a $1.50 cheaper I wouldn't complain. Adding peppers would've earned another star too. Overall, consistent, clean and attentive crew. read more

Went in the other day, and waited 20 minutes for 2 smoothies .. Everybody was scattered, seem like no one knew what to do. As I want waiting I seen people who came in after me and got their shit before I did. & my smoothie was ass. straight shit. Please do better. Paid $13 for some nasty ass smoothie and terrible customer service. read more

I have been coming here for awhile and the service was great. But now the service has gonr down hill. Lately every time i come in here thery get slower and slower. OMG i loooveee these smoothies!! I hate that I dont live in Va or close to any tropical smoothie places. Yes, they are a bit pricey ($12 for a wrap and a smoothie) but it's soo good and you will feel so healthy! The rockin' raspberry is the best smoothie. I also really love the tottally turkey wrap! I'm only giving this place 4 stores instead of five for the price. Wish it was cheaper =( read more

Love this location! They get very busy around lunch time, but I always order ahead on the app when I think they'll be busy and they have my smoothie ready every time I walk through the door. My favorites are the Kiwi Quencher, Açaí Berry Boost, and Island Green! read more

I will never go back to this T.S!! Smoothie was good, but service sucked. Being so close to Langley, and no military discount?? Got a buffalo chix wrap that was completely cold after a 5 minute drive home and def. not "toasted"! Before I made it out the door I checked the bag and they forgot my banana. Turned back to the counter and before I said anything the girl said "forget your banana? We always forget the fruit". She went and grabbed an overripe one and tried to give it to me and was like "you don't want this one"? Um.....no!! Worst experience ever Tropical Smoothie!! read more

Tropical Smoothie Cafe - Juice Bars & Smoothies Near Me - Hampton, Virginia

Decent place, but it would be nice if they had the crazy-loud blenders in the back where they make the sandwiches and other food so the chick at the register can actually hear me when I place my order without me having to lean clear over the counter and scream it directly into her ear. read more

Someone call the health department! I was greeted with the smell of what can only be described as vomit and sticky floors. They make the smoothies in full view of anyone that cares to look and the floors behind the counter where they make the smoothies were wet and had food that must have fallen that had clumped in the corners. The extra large trashcan behind the counter was overflowing! Bananas were in an open container on the counter where customers pick up. Spinach was on a cart next to the smoothie bar area with an open container of peanut butter next to it (not chilled) and water was running in the sink, but I didn't see anyone clean a blender. Just yuck! Call Bar Rescue because this place needs it. Credit to the staff though because they were all polite and seemed to want to do a good job, but may have been overwhelmed. This is what happens when you leave teenagers to run a business without any adult supervision. I can only imagine how many people now go to Settlers Landing Rd to avoid this place. read more

App said order ready. Went in hadn't been made. Others in the pickup area that were there ahead of me. Had orders sitting on the counter but hadn't been told they were there. They need more staff. read more

This place has gone down hill, I came here all the time before I moved. Came back in during a visit and was not happy with the result. There is a weird tip jar on the counter that's just a dressing container with a hole in it that says money is the root of all even, cleanse yourself. Counters and doors are dirty. One man had asked for no sugar mixture in the smoothies and after agreeing to remake them the employees commented that they should have just lied and said it didn't rather than remake them. I won't be coming back here. If you don't care about any of that the smoothies were ok. read more

I am so saddened that this is the only and closest location to my house because I love Tropical Smoothie however the service is TERRIBLE! There is literally no point or convenience in ordering online because you are still going to wait 10-15 minutes for a smoothie only after your pick up time. Then the employees have the nerve to have an attitude as if they're they ones inconvenienced. There building a bigger location near by I hope they have a process improvement plan in place because this is absolutely ridiculous. read more

My visit to this particular TSC location has always been mediocre when it comes to service. Floors are sticky with a not so pleasant smell in the air. Yesterday a friend and I went in for a quick grab and go. But that was not the case 45 mins later and having to repeat my order twice to two different smoothie makers, order was filled. This was with a not so busy time in the day. But while I waited I noticed others got their orders before me. In fact my friend actually placed his order after I placed mine. He placed a sandwich and smoothie order while I only had a smoothie placed separately. During that 45 min wait other customers came in to eat. It got packed with customers. The manager, stopped taking new orders for 10mins, in an attempt to get caught up. It was frustrating none the less. Won't be recommending this location for a bit. I have two words to say "management control". read more

We waited for over 35 minutes for 2 smoothies during lunch. It's obvious this place is poorly managed as it should be all hands on deck during 1100-1300. Yet they had only 2 people making smoothies at first before the manager decided to show up and start helping. I don't know if they lost more money as people were walking out before ordering or the customers that won't be returning due to the wait. They obviously can't read the time on the tickets either because people who ordered after other people were getting their smoothies first. Take your hard earned money somewhere else, I won't be returning to this location anymore. read more

Food and stuff was okay. 30 minutes for two smoothies from the front of the line?? These people are incompetent. Workers were making themselves smoothies and leaving their shift instead of making sure the job was done. That isn't the behavior of someone I'd want working at my store. read more
