In addition, I wanted to get a Bahamian potcake. Every trainer said I was making a mistake. And,that at my age, I would not be able to control him. That potcakes were too exicitable, distractable and from wild stock; but I knew that they were also loving, with strong attachment to their owner. I chose a 10 week old potcake, Skipper, who was all of the above, with everyone telling me ,"he will never be a service dog." A client of Sofia's put me in contact with them and they immediately stepped in. Everyone knows that trainers don't really train the dog but they train the owner/handler. The important thing about Sofia's and Adolpho is his ability to go beyond the obvious and see where both dog and owner are at emotionally, physically, and psychologically and personalizes that training to match their abiity, atachment levels and needs. I now have the perfect service dog, the one they said couldn't be trained, the one who saved my life already, not once but twice. There is no one better than Sofia's dog training.

I looked around at different trainers in West Palm Beach and I really liked the approach used by Adolfo and Sandra. Of all the trainers I have worked with, they really work to understand the dog and the owner. In just a couple of sessions Felix was demonstrating confidence and felt more secure. He likes Adolfo and Sandra. That is important! The dog should like and respect the trainer and feel comfortable in their presence. They introduced us to the Martingale collar which is clearly superior to either the choke or prong collars, we had used in the past. I not only highly recommend Sophia's Dog training, but strongly encourage all dog owners, to call Adolfo and Sandra. Your dog will thank you!

I would not be bringing my dog here. You have trainers that dump dogs out of their crates that is…read morenot acceptable. You have a trainer that puts a bite risk on a dog because they don't want to take the time to actually work with a dog. That is also unacceptable. This is not okay. And then to be telling the owner that they put their dog at risk of being put down because they didn't want to actually take the steps it takes to get a dog to be comfortable with you. Your trainer, Ryann needs to be reevaluated. This can put your company at risk. I don't know why you would allow a trainer to dump a dog out of its crate. That is not how a dog should be handled. That is not at all how I would want a trainer to be treating my dog. I have no idea what else she does that is also unacceptable behind closed doors. She could be abusing dogs for all I know because she didn't put the safety of a dog first.

We had tried numerous trainers, even tried meds for a short while with our Murphy. This winter we signed Murphy up for a Peggy Adams training course, Taming Tarzan. It was there we found Toni and her amazing team from Lucky Dog. During this course Murphy was finally responding to the positive tools given to us by these wonderful trainers. When these classes were finished we discussed with Toni how to proceed. Murphy is now enrolled in Lucky Dog's day training course where he receives one-on-one training where his special needs are worked on, group lessons where he learns to interact with other dogs and also structured walks where they assist in teaching Murphy better leash etiquette. And the best part is at the end of the day we are emailed videos of his training section so we can follow through at home. We cannot thank Toni and her amazing Lucky Dog Training team for all of their help. Murphy has dramatically improved and we are forever grateful. Highly recommend!

In an apartment building where you constantly encounter people and dogs in hallways, elevators, and other shared spaces, I felt very unsure of how to navigate those situations with him. When we first moved in, I was extremely cautious and used extra safety measures every time we went outside because I wanted to make sure I was prepared for any situation while he adjusted to his new surroundings. As soon as we arrived, I knew it was time to invest in training. My mother immediately started searching for the best dog trainers in the West Palm Beach area and found Maggie. Thanks to my Nana, I was able to make that investment, and it has been completely life-changing. Maggie genuinely transformed my dog. She taught both of us skills that gave me better control and helped me understand how to confidently navigate situations that previously made me nervous. For example, my dog used to become overstimulated when runners or bikers passed by. Maggie taught me how to recognize those situations before they happened, how to redirect his attention, and how to stay calm and confident throughout the process. During our hands-on training, Maggie would first demonstrate each exercise so I could clearly see how it should be done. Then, when it was my turn, she truly helped me master it by telling me what I was doing well and where I could improve. She even videotaped the exercises so I could review them step-by-step afterward. Maggie also went the extra mile by bringing her son to one of our training sessions after I explained that I wanted more practice navigating passing people in the hallway and entering the elevator. Having someone there to practice with made such a difference and helped me feel much more prepared for everyday situations. Whenever I have an issue, I know I can call Maggie, and she will give me real-time advice on what I could have done differently or better. She also recommended equipment that has made a world of difference. This experience has truly been life-changing. I no longer feel a wave of anxiety every time I need to walk my dog -- I actually look forward to it! My darling baby escaped Sunday and came back unable to walk (his hip was dislocated). I brought him in to see the Dr the next day. Everything was great, I was glad they could see him and trusted they would take care of Asher. Later that day, I was told that they had been unsuccessful putting his hip in place, but had updated his shots and given him a flea bath and treated him for fleas. I went to pick him up, saddened because I knew I would need to take him to a specialist for surgery if there was to be hope of him walking again. I got there, paid my $1100 bill upfront and was then taken to the room where I waited for the Dr. I had spoken to the Dr twice during the day, getting updates on cost and how Asher was doing, so I wasn't surprised that the Dr failed twice in relocating the hip. As he was exiting to get Asher, he told me there had been an incident and Asher was cut while removing the bandages, after the second failed attempt at hip relocation. He brought Asher into the room, pulled my baby out of his cage. I was overcome by grief at the sight of my baby's leg. Asher, who had been at the office all day was now far worse off than when I brought him in. I asked what could be done to make it better he said he didn't "do it on purpose" and he was "sorry." He then kept repeating how he "followed protocol" and blamed my cat's hair. I continued to ask what I should do and he interrupted me and asked "do you want to hear about the medication or not." It was like he didn't really care. No patient plan was given, so I didn't even know how to take care of the new wound. I walked out with only the $1100 receipt and the the medicine in ziplock bags. The next day I had a couple more questions about the accident, during which the Dr explained he had actually cut a chunk of Asher's skin and fur out. He also told me that his "father was an orthopedic surgeon" and so he knew "things like this happen all the time." I am sorry, I expect more from a Dr and if I would have known my Dr accepts accidents as "things that happen all the time" I never would have gone there in the first place. I hope this saves another baby from an accident that scars them in the future. Good luck!

Although I've never been here, service alone from a phone call to request medical records for a facility I worked at is down the drain. I called to confirm a rabies certificate since their medical documentation is HORRIBLE and the receptionist was so condescending - talking to me as if I didn't know what I was reading and then she had the audacity to complain about my review about her attitude. But Yknow, Florida stuff. Definitely will be writing this for Google as well. Also as a side note it was just comical that I posted this review and the receptionist complained so much about my "unfair" review hope you enjoyed your 3 years of 3.8 stars because this is well deserved 1 star for service alone and honestly reading the reviews, animal hospital is a big yikes. How do you "accidentally" lacerated a patients leg while taking off a bandage? Maybe avoid? Lol

Within 20 minutes she had him in the crate and really trained us on handling the dog. I know he will be a great companion with all the help she gave us. She uses positive reinforcement which was a must when we looked for help. I can't say enough good about her.
