That's fine but $5.99/small melon or $1/mango are almost as bad as publix. Not quite but almost. Where's the deals? If its expensive, Where's the high quality? I respect their game and wish them luck but sadly its a closed chapter for me. Its not that im not going to return out of spite, but I wont be returning simply because there's no point to. There is usually live music, but this month they featured a DJ who was spinning the Caribbean beats. We loved that! It will be held every second Saturday of the month from 9 AM to 2 PM. Unlike a lot of markets that close in the hotter months, this market is year-round. Calling this a farmers market is a bit of stretch since there wasn't any produce for sale. I would call this more of a community market. There was a DJ playing lively music and a yoga event on the lawn. Set among the art installations were booths selling jewelry, Kona Ice, clothes, bags, coffee, empanadas, local honey, skin care products, Easter baskets, and more. The Village Art Plaza is a new event space and sculpture garden next to City Park. It is a gorgeous outdoor space with sculptures, murals, and plenty of seating. This public art space was designed to be a place where the community can gather for cultural events like this market and food truck nights. The Village Art Plaza Farmers Market is a family and dog friendly event. Taco and I had a great morning and if you get the chance to check out the plaza, I am sure you will enjoy it too.
