This was our 2nd time visiting this park. It was about $230 admission for 3 people. We went on a Sunday. It was not overcrowded. We were able to ride back to back with no lines. It is slightly difficult to find seating in the inside area. The food is basic park food nothing spectacular. We enjoyed being able to have fun indoors and out. We also paid for 1 cup with free refills all day.

The "party area." As you can see there's just plain tables. No tableware as promised.

Read all the reviews. This place needs to be shut down. They are operating over capacity and someone is going to wind up dead. Seriously. It's a recipe for disaster. Read my review about what they did to ruin my son's birthday party. Read all the one star reviews. I have no idea how they averaged all the one stars to somehow get 3 stars. This place is the pits, is ripping people off, and should be closed for good.

What a fun little park in the region. The grounds were immaculate, and everyone was super friendly. Highly recommended for families while visiting the Gulf Coast, particularly Alabama and Pensacola.

Took the family to OWA today. It should be known and be made perfectly clear that everyone going through the gate will pay for a ticket, regardless if they are physically able to ride or not. My 12 year old son was injured in February, and is still bound to a wheel chair. While he has regained some ability to walk it is very very limited. He also is still wearing a Wound Vac. We assumed that he'd be able to go and just chill with me, while my wife and other two boys took in the rides. This was not the case. We were told at the gate when we presented our pre-purchased tickets that we'd have to have a ticket for him to roll around in the property. We originally planned to spend Spring Break in Dollywood but after his injury, we changed plans. Regrets........ Shame on OWA for not taking our disabled folks into account. Secondly, only half of the rides were running every other hour.

This park popped up on my Tiktoc feed so we decided to go check it out. Nice park, small but they are expanding. Very clean and polite staff, clean bathrooms. The water side seemed Geared more towards of younger kids but still had some things for us big kids. Lazy river was relaxing. Lots of seating around the lazy river. They have storage lockers available to rent for your valuables. We arrived at 10am when they opened started getting crowded by noon and thinned out after 3. We stayed at the hotel on the grounds which is super convenient. Everything is in walking distance to the hotel. Loved all the little shops and places to eat, pizza place was excellent. We had a nice get-away weekend! Michelle New Orleans, La

Ask the Community - Tropic Falls at OWA

Did you post any of the St. Patrick's Day dog parade and winners?

Hi Sheri, we did post photos of the parade and the costume contest over on our Facebook page (@VisitOWA). Thanks!

How long did it take to build Owa?

Hi Daniel, The Park at OWA was built in a record-breaking eight months! We broke ground on November 2, 2016 and opened to the public the following July.

The weather was perfect and doing happy hour drinking with awesome appetizers, hearing the sounds of the zoo animals, and watching monkeys play was a very pleasant experience. The meals were equally high quality and very tasty. Happy hour stops at 5:30 so come early and enjoy the ambience of being in nature enjoying life with friends.

An absolutely PERFECT sized zoo, especially for three kiddos under four (i.e. very short attention…read morespans)! We went on a Tuesday during spring break, and there was plenty of parking and no line for tickets. The tickets and add-ons (carousel, turtle and giraffe feedings, sloth encounter) were very reasonably priced. My oldest (3) rode the carousel multiple times; it was her favorite part of our visit. We also participated in the giraffe feeding, which lacked some organization, but otherwise was a cool experience. There are two playgrounds, one on each end of the zoo. Unlike any other zoo I've ever visited, you could get incredibly close to the animals, especially the lions. The green python put on a captivating show while we all watched, mouths agape. We witnessed a heron (?) savagely attacking a giant frog (see my pictures and video) in the lemur island area. The on-site restaurant, Safari & Vine, is FABULOUS. The menu has a broad array of global options for any palate. My husband and I were both talked into the SHARK burger (sustainably fished and blended with pork), which I wouldn't order again, but had to try once (it was lean like a turkey burger). Can't say enough good things!

Everyone from the front desk on were very nice. I have to give the best of all shout out to Dillan! And if I would have remembered the aero bar gentleman's name he would be highly recognized too! I was too nervous to hear his name. But he did a wonderful job and my hubby and I loved our time up there with him. We will be back!

Dang this place! 5 or more rides were not open, the lovely teenager you got tickets from hated her…read morejob like most people here(I mean it shows), 25 dollars for 3 rides a bit high (they give you a paper band ) and the worst we left around 8ish groups of teenagers were loitering in the parking lot with their music on loud.NOT FAMILY FRIENDLY!!!!!WHY IS THIS ALLOWED!I have a son on the spectrum and I didnt appreciate it at all! No wonder the place was dead at the rides (I'm serious me and my son were the only people on the entire Ferris wheel) !! It's not worth it as is. The arcade is where we spent hours at but let me be honest my son had 2,000+ tickets and you hardly get anything. Just a small stuffed animal and some candy way too high for an average kid!!! The pool table was missing balls(they did eventually find some after spending close to 15 min trying to find them in the table) A few other games didn't work properly. We made do . We still had fun my son and I but it was a downgrade from last year(hardly anything was open on the ride side) QUIT HIRING PEOPLE WHO HATE THEIR JOBS!!!FIX YOUR MACHINES!! Lower the prices on the redeemed items!! LOWER THE PRICES ON THE RIDES ITS quite RIDICULOUS!! No wonder it was a ghost town. DO BETTER FOR FAMILIES!!! The guy at the far end manning the big swing was equally as an adult also was rude asf .
