There are a lot of lovely pet stores near our house in Los Angeles, but none of them has the selection and range of MacGregor's. They have the best curated food assortment I've found anywhere from LA to NY, and the wonderful family staff is terrifically knowledgable about what they carry -- so if you tell them what your dog is eating, they can recommend something even better. (They don't carry California Natural, for example, which frankly Fifi hated, but they recommended Fromm's, which Fifi loves and is thriving on and is the same price.) They've also got a really nice selection of toys, more imaginative and adorable than anyplace else I've been. I bought Fifi a squeaky bottle of Cabernet. MacGregor's is my favorite, from coast to coast. It's worth a trek to see it, just for the selection.

The store is ALWAYS competitively priced, the associates ALWAYS are incredibly nice and I usually always end up striking up a conversation with them because they are all just great, helpful, and down to Earth, and this store ALWAYS has everything I need and then some (at very fair prices). I have 3 huskies (2 of which go to the store with me as the third is old and never wants to go for rides) and they just LOVE going here. They always get lots of attention from the employees (one of which also has a husky and she always remembers us and always is so great to see!) and they also have given us lots of free samples of treats and foods. I also have 2 cats and I have discovered a few different treats that my picky old cat now loves and I was only able to discover these through their generous free samples for them. On Halloween I remember going there and they had all sorts of stuff they were giving for people AND pets and it's times like those and all the other times I've been helped here that made me realize that this isn't just another pet store. This is a place where everyone there honestly cares for your pets and because of that you will only get recommended the very best things to suit your individual needs.
