The way she spoke to us was completely inappropriate and unnecessarily rude. I told her that there was no reason to speak to customers that way, but instead of trying to resolve the situation, she continued with the same attitude. To make matters worse, the coworker next to her jumped in and escalated the situation even further. We were shocked by the level of hostility and lack of professionalism. What could have been handled politely and in a matter of seconds turned into an extremely unpleasant experience. By far the worst service experience we've had in the Lake Norman area.

I was really disappointed with my experience at the Speedway Club. I ordered the halibut (may have…read morebeen sea bass, it was in a tomato based sauce which included spinach as the base of the dish) along with a side of spinach, and unfortunately, neither met expectations. The food wasn't served warm, and the spinach was extremely bitter--almost inedible. I ended up sending the dish back and trying the Cajun shrimp ravioli (the ravioli had cheese and spinach in them and shrimp was the protein mixed with the ravioli) instead, hoping for a better experience. Unfortunately, that dish missed the mark as well. It was overwhelmingly spicy--so much so that it took away from any enjoyment of the meal. I am not sure if these are regular menu items as this was on 02/13/26 so it could have been the Valentine's Day prefixed menu, no idea, but it wasn't a great meal. Overall, the quality and execution just weren't there, especially for a place with this kind of reputation.
