I came to Maison Barat with hopes of finding a delicious baguette but was highly disappointed…read more Barat is quite famous for their baguettes and various other breads, so I decided to try one. I got a well cooked baguette, and it was not up to par. The flavor of the baguette was good, but the texture wasn't there. The exterior was not a crispy crust, it was very chewy and gummy. It didn't feel well cooked at all. I also got a chocolate bread, and that was amazing! The baguette was €1.40, and the chocolate bread was €1.60. The prices here seemed pretty average to me, so I was happy about that. They had samples of their focaccia as well which was tasty. I highly recommend coming for their chocolate bread, but not for the baguette.
