I find it unbelievable that they are not following the Covid-19 laws and putting others health at risk. They certainly had over 20 campers and staff during their camp at Wanless park. At the time, the max limit for outdoor gatherings was 10. I enjoy using the baseball diamond and field with my children and we could not use it because they told us they had a permit for it. When I called 311 I was told they do not have a permit because the city is not handing out permits during Covid and that is it illegal to run a private camp on public city space without a permit. I hope that the park officers showed up and handed out a fine so that this does not happen again. If they are not compliant with Covid safety measures, how can they guarantee the safety and health of their campers!? I will NOT be sending my children to this camp. If you would like more proof about the permit, I can also get 311's response in writing which states that you do NOT have a permit and they are not handing out ANY permits during Covid. The public deserves to know how you operate and they need to be able to see this review. The City of Toronto has not issued any permits for outdoor activities as of date and cannot issue permits in the Provincial Lockdown zone of the Covid-19 framework. Due to Toronto being in Lockdown since November and currently in a Stay at home order no Organization should be using the parks for paid programing. I have been aware of the activity at Wanless park as I had another complaint from a resident of the area. Unfortunately I did not have a name or contact for the group. I did ask Park staff and By-law officers to go out to the location and warn the group that they are not allowed to use the space without a permit and the Park is open to the public to use in accordance to the Provincial guidelines.

It was appreciated! When you walk in, there's a community feel, which makes an unfit person like me not as intimidated to use weights. I'm in the 2x a week class and I'm enjoying it a lot. The trainers are very knowledgeable, explain things well and really encourage you to test your limits. I have ten more weeks, but very excited to see my progress and feel stronger. This gym is very parent friendly and even has children minding services. When I go to the gym, it's either when my kids have just gone down for the night or still sleeping. My 3 year old has been asking a lot about the gym so definitely will check it out at some point. They have a smoothie bar in the gym too. The party room also comes with a dvd player & tv with choice of movies etc. to have on while everyone is in the party room. Instructors were very professional, patient and wonderful with the kids. Everyone had so much and my own daughter loved it so much, we may host her next party there next year! Enrolment is done online on their website. There is a mandatory $50 gymnastics membership fee that covers up to June. Unfortunately there is no make up class option so if you miss a class, you don't get a refund. There is no re-enrollment fee, which is good at least. I find the beginning of classes disorganized because the coaches don't call out names so you don't know where to go if it's your first class or if there's a substitute coach. My daughter's coach is usually absent so it's frustrating because she likes her usual coach. Overall, it's an okay gymnastics school from the four months we have been going there. We will probably take a break from the kindergym class and re-enroll when she's a bit older when it's less play based.

However, one supervisor is strict about the teachers actually practicing with the kids and the amount of time swimming has increased dramatically! The facility is great for young kids. The water is warm and the parents can be out of sight for the entire class if necessary. There's also a thick layer of glass between the kids and parents so the parents can chat without distracting the kids or drawing attention away from the class. The change room is small but has everything you need: warm showers, dryers, a bathing suit dryer, 2 washrooms, and 8 changing stalls. Space is clean. Staff are friendly. Emails could be answered a bit quicker! However, all in all we've generally had a positive experience.
