Dublin is chock full of monuments and here's one on River Liffey next to George's Dock at Custom House Quay. The plaque reads:
"This arch is dedicated to the memory of Pat O'Shea for his service to community development
Unveiled by an Taoiseach Bertie Ahern TD, April 2002"
According to what I was able to find, it was built in 1813 and transported here to Custom House Quay in 1998. And if someone can fill me in on who Pat O'Shea was, that would be super. read more
