I ordered a custom kitchen table from them about 6 months ago. It immediately started taking stains when food contacted it for even minutes. they offered to refinish it for hundreds of dollars and sent us a repair kit. I guess I am supposed to repaint my table every time I eat on it. It is ridiculous. You're better off ordering a cheap table from Wayfair than dealing with them. It is beautiful, but it wears terribly. I have been offered no solution other than potentially spending $1,000 having somebody else apply a different finish to the top. So I'm supposed to spend 50% of the total cost of the table to fix a problem that was immediately apparent upon delivery. read more

Tritter Feefer has a poor product and terrible customer service. I ordered a table recently and the finish immediately began chipping off. After many months of calling/emailing with reassurances that they would do something about it and that they "stand by their product" I finally received a "repair kit". Well the repair kit worked less than perfectly and the table continues to chip on a regular basis....apparently they expect you to have to continually repair your new purchase. I would NEVER buy anything from this company again and strongly suggest others don't as well. read more

I ordered 3 pieces from Las Vegas home show. All pieces arrived when they should, finishes weren't the best. On a buffet the finish was poorly done, I could've done a better job plus the finish wasn't completed on the back of the piece. So overall finish was a brown but the back was left stark white. That's something you'd see on cheap furniture! Also when open the drawers they catch and have worn away finish. The only thing the company offered was to send a repair kit. The dining table finish is bad as well. It stains very easily, doesn't come off, the finish is cracking in several spots on the base. The leaves didn't fit into the table. Because the company wasn't going to do anything about that I had to pay someone to work on the leaves so could close up the table around them. The only piece I've had no problems with was my custom coffee table which they made perfectly. As far as their customer service goes, don't even try to get service from them. It's an exercise in futility. If you don't have any problems then you'll probably be happy. If there's a problem, good luck. read more

I would never order from them again. Their customer service is worse than I have ever experienced with any other store. I ordered a piece that they said would take 6 to 8 weeks. Approaching the 8 week mark, I called to ask about the piece. I did not receive a call back so I had to keep leaving messages and emails. After several attempts and several days later, an employee calls me back to say I should be receiving a Scad Drawing for me to approve since it was a custom piece before going into production. I was shocked given that it was supposed to have already been completed and delivered. So after a few more weeks and more phone calls to let her know I still had not received the drawing, I finally did get it and it was completely wrong. The hardware I picked was not in the right place. I made the necessary changes and sent it back. I had to follow up myself to ensure they received the corrections. Then after a couple weeks later, she sends me an email saying there was some confusion on the finish I ordered. She said she was sending me some samples for me to look at just to be sure it was the right one. Several more weeks passed and I had to call to tell her I still hadn't received the samples. Finally as if my call reminded her to mail them, she did send the samples. The samples they sent were all wrong so I sent her a picture that I had taken myself of a piece in their showroom that was the finish I wanted for my piece. She seemed confused. I was beyond frustrated so I spoke with the owner, ML. ML called me back to say she would personally oversee the production of the piece. She was not at all apologetic nor was she interested in hearing about how badly my experience was thus far. She even went on to say that this was not the norm because they usually only work with designers in a most condescending way. (I told her that I am a designer.)Because of the confusion over the finish, she wanted me to go to their showroom at ADAC to make sure and see the finish in person. It was a great inconvenience but I went. Several weeks later after having to follow up, ML said the pierce was ready for delivery. It had now been over 6 months since I ordered the piece so I asked for a discount. She didn't even respond to that request but she did say she would deliver - white glove service - for free. (Delivery fee was never discussed at the time of the order). Before delivery, they wanted me to approve it by sending a picture. I received the picture only to discover there was no hardware on it and the finish (the one I drove to ADAC to approve) was all wrong. When I called ML she said they can't put hardware on mirrored pieces. I told her this was the first I had heard of that in this whole process - why didn't her employees inform me of that when I placed the order 6 months ago?! Needless to say, after all that, I did not accept the piece. It wasn't at all what I ordered and waited over 6 months for. They did reimburse me for my deposit but didn't want to pay a fee from AmEX so I had to wait an almost two more weeks for a check to be processed and sent. I never received one single apology during the whole process. I would NEVER recommend this company. read more

Twitter Feefer has the worst customer service I have ever seen. I have been in business for 20 years and have never been treated this poorly. I purchased a custom piece for my client and was told by the owner that the piece would be ready in 6 weeks. 1 year later and many many voice messages left unanswered and still nothing. Finally, when the piece did arrive it was a disaster. No custom finish, particle board construction and shotty workmanship all at a generous up charge. All calls to this vendor were once again left unanswered. I will never do business with them again. read more

Too bad there wasn't a piece of a star to rate this company. One star is too generous. I have ordered from Tritter Feefer in the past, but the last time has left me feeling like I've been completely bamboozled. A customer liked the Spiro bed, but wanted a flat matte paint finish because she did not like the finishes TF offered. TF would have painted the bed but it was a 20% up charge. Which should have been my first warning. The bed arrived primed. But instead of being manufactured out of solid wood (like any fine furniture maker would use) it was made out of particle board. Pressed wood. Cheap rough horrible crap. My painter wouldn't touch it, because I'm sure it would have turned to dust if he tried sanding it. Hence the fancy paint finishes they use, because they are trying to hide the fact that they use stuff IKEA wouldn't even dream of using! I spoke with Bill Aultman the owner, who tried to convince me that particle board was the strongest type of wood and really the best bet for that large expanse of wood, that a solid piece of wood would warp and buckle ( a queen size headboard. You must be joking). He agreed to take it back. And pick it up. And now it's been a month and no one will return my many phone calls or emails. I love looking at that bed. Now it reminds me of how I got fired by the client and I'm stuck with a bill for $2638.90. Plus shipping. Just called MasterCard who will reverse the charge. Hooray MasterCard, Shame on tritter Feefer. I will also never buy from this company again, unless I have this strong desire to grind my teeth, lose sleep, feel like an idiot and piss off more customers. I'm with you Caroline O! read more
