Surprise! Paul Davis was paid the money they were owed by the people who owed them the money and…read morethat wasn't me. Paul Davis bothered to work as diligently to collect money from the insurance as hard as they worked on making preparations to sue me, they may have been able to do what I did. I'm responsible for Paul Davis getting the money they so ineptly did not acquire a contract in writing when accepting a verbal "yes" from the manager of my insurance. claim! You're welcome Paul Davis.... And thank you for the threats, the holding hostage of my property, and the horrible communication of your intent that you would hold me responsible for your employee getting my home without proper documentation to do so. Then, holding me responsible for not getting that proper documentation and sending me notification of having to pay a bill that the insurance was supposed to have approved per all the text you sent me, which is the only reason I said OK. However, I'm still left in my predicament because my home is gutted, I'm still having to deal with the horrible insurance company. My choice of insurance companies is not anyone's fault but my own; however, I would rather have a place to live in a pot to pee in rather than me stuck homeless like I'm gonna be and I do fully blame this company for being in my situation. Thank God, I was able to stop their lawsuit since I was able to get WSOC TV channel 9's investigative reporter to help me in getting those funds for Paul Davis since their employees don't know how to get appropriate documentation prior to gutting someone's home, or at least my home! I will be getting my storage out of their control as soon as possible. Through this, I learned that they we're going to have me pay to have my storage returned to me, but didn't bother to let me know. It had already been paid for them to bring my storage to me or so it appears in the estimates I read through after educating myself extensively on this entire process. I really don't appreciate feeling as though things have not been provided to me in honesty and that is how I am left in complete understanding unfortunately!

Had an extremely positive experience with Paul Davis of Piedmont, NC. I especially appreciate them…read moreafter another company no-showed our appointment for an estimate and after being ghosted by a couple of different repairmen for a secondary job. After this, meeting with someone who keeps their word gains extra importance. The personable and professional Dean Flowers came out to give an estimate on water damage and possible mold. I was thrilled when I learned that the company would not only do the mitigation but the repairs as well. Making my life so much easier! Abraham Reyes was the project manager and was always timely, friendly and professional. His team was amazing, I really appreciated their workmanship, attention to detail, and that everything was left sparkling clean. Paul Davis worked seamlessly with our insurance company and we were so pleased with them that as mentioned above they completed a secondary job for us as well. We feel the services received were worth the money spent. As I told Abraham, I hope we won't need mitigation/repairs in future but if we do I know who we will call!

Garber Construction - ceiling above the shower with grout all over it

Not only can he complete inside and outside home repairs; but he does fantastic yard maintenance. I recommend him to everyone!! Will be using him for my addition to my home soon.

If I could give Garber Construction negative stars, I would! David started out with big talk and…read moreseemed to know what he was doing. We hired him to redo our shower in our master bathroom. He advertises that he is a licensed general contractor. HE IS NOT! HE DOES NOT HAVE A LICENSE! He not only did not finish the job, what work he did do was subpar and not up to code. We paid him $2000 upfront then a week later he came to me and said he was "tapped out" and asked for more. I don't understand how he was out of money bc we had bought all the materials and he was nothing out of pocket for my project. He "finished" the project just 3 days later. He left my bathroom a disaster.....grout all over the ceiling, walls, floor, tlles. He left the baseboards missing and drywall spackle wet. He did not install the shower fixtures (actually installed the wrong part in the wall to work with the fixtures we bought, even though we gave him the correct part). He left the grout in the shower floor wet and told us not to touch the shower for 5 days bc it needed to "cure". He left gaps between tiles and holes in the grout where water will get behind the wall. He left the air vent PVC pipe for the shower exposed. He used grout for kitchen floors, not shower walls/floors. HE did not waterproof the walls prior to tiling. I could go on and on. Not to mention at least $250 in materials are missing/unaccounted for. When I called him 2 days later to tell him we had a few "issues" with his work, he got an attitude and hung up on me. He has since avoided my calls. He and his wife both have threatened me with legal action if I continued to pursue any action toward them. Legal action is being taken, although I don't expect to see a dime from him. Although we paid him $4000, he never paid his employee that helped him do our project! So he pocketed the entire $4000! He is dishonest, unethical and a fraud! A handshake, contract or even his word means nothing to him! Don't just avoid David Garber but RUN!!!
