We were a pretty big group of seven, and it did take the servers a while to get all our drinks and food out to us. That said, the food itself was very good for being a Pan-Asian restaurant smack-dab in the middle of Germany. The larger main courses were more in the varietal Teishoku style, and their sushi rolls were as good as any you'd eat in the San Francisco Bay Area (which is to say ... pretty good!). The one thing that put a bit of a damper on the dinner for me was that I'd ordered a half-liter of beer, and asked once again if it was coming out as it had been a while. Well, two different servers returned with a half-liter each, so I had to gulp down a liter of beer in front of my friend's family which probably didn't look so good. :-P Other than that, Vinami was very good. I would come here again, only next time I'll be sure to ask ONE person for a beer and ask only them if it takes a while to come out.

Went for lunch and the place has promise, but didn't quite live up to my hopes. The outdoor seating…read morearea could be so nice in the right circumstances, but with all the construction going on on the street (mid June 2019) it was hard to enjoy it. That, of course, is not the restaurant's fault, but still. Service was adequate but slow and not especially friendly, and the food was a bit up and down. I had a beet salad with baked goat cheese, and the beets were fine, and the goat cheese was excellent, but there was a truffled cream that I thought really overpowered the rest of the dish. All in all, a perfectly fine place for a quick lunch, but nothing special

The conversations were all great. Talks about everything from wines and liquors and beers to travel and transportation, to sports and games then restaurants and food. Just all around great experience. The beer, Waldhaus, was one of the best beers I've ever had. Really a great introduction to German beers for me. They also have a number of liquors and liqueurs and offer all types of cocktails. I believe they have wine. I always had beer here. This was a great place with great beer and great companionship. There were so many choices it was the epitome of a kid in a candy store. We shared a slice of Black Forest cake and a glass of champagne. We sat outside to take in the views of the quaint village of Baden-Baden. The Black Forest cake you can get in the United States can't even match getting the real deal. I mean, wow! The cake was decadent and creamy, infused with liqueur, cherries, and whipped cream. It was so good that when it was gone I was scouring the dessert plate for another morsel. I was using my fingers to get up every last crumb. Simply said, best of the best.
