They have all the machines and this super fancy high-tech station where you scan your credit card and then pick anything from the shelves (nutrition bars, protein shakes, energy drinks) and the camera and sensors detect what you got and bill you on the card you used to swipe when you leave. There are other rooms (like a posing room) and inside the bathrooms there is a nice dry sauna. In the downtown location they also have a very nice and convenient portable sauna as well. Update: Spoke with management and they said they will speak with their staff member, I don't want…read moreanyone to feel unwelcome in an establishment they're working on theirselves in, hopefully the staff receives training in interpersonal skills. My experience at this Planet Fitness today was completely unacceptable. I asked a staff member named Trey to turn on one of the stations. He told me he had to do it, not customers. Moments later, I watched another customer walk in and turn on the exact same type of machine themselves with no issue. That means I was either lied to or treated differently for no valid reason. When I pointed out which machine I was referring to, Trey responded by saying he didn't have to answer my question and then told me I "don't have to be here" to receive services even though I'm a paying member. I then requested to speak with another staff member, and he refused, claiming he was the manager and I had no one else to speak to. This level of disrespect, inconsistency, and unprofessional conduct is not something I've ever experienced in a gym environment. No paying member should be talked down to, dismissed, or given false information. This situation needs to be addressed so other members don't go through the same thing.
