I wish I could give Stewart Manor Country Club more than 5 stars. We had our wedding here recently,…read moreand the entire experience was beyond anything we expected. I had been to the venue twice before--my sister got married here and a friend had a bridal shower--so I already knew it was beautiful. But hosting our wedding here was something truly special. From the very first meeting, the staff made us feel welcomed, cared for, and completely confident that our day would be in good hands. The venue itself is gorgeous with a warm, slightly rustic, homey charm, but the real standout is the staff. They are some of the kindest, most accommodating people you will ever meet. We didn't even bother touring other venues because we just knew this was the place--and we were 100% right. We worked mostly with James and John, who ran our wedding, and they were both phenomenal. James in particular deserves all the praise in the world. He handles so many details behind the scenes and somehow always seems to be in the exact place you need him. He listened closely to what we wanted and went above and beyond to make everything perfect. He was even completely prepared for emergencies, pulling out Advil at one point and a tide pen at another... and right before our ceremony, my husband accidentally got water on his vest. James took it, dried it, and brought it back looking perfect just in time. It was such a small moment, but it speaks volumes about how dedicated he is. By the end of the night, it honestly felt like James and John were family. We're already joking about finding excuses to go back just to say hello. If you're considering this venue--stop considering and just BOOK IT! Stewart Manor Country Club is outstanding in every way: the staff, the service, the atmosphere, the care, the experience. We couldn't recommend them more.

When my now-wife and I checked out the Stewart Manor Country Club for the very first time, Lisa…read morecalled the maitre'd James "a miracle worker." That was not an understatement. His attention to detail is amazing. When a button fell off my jacket, he found it amidst a sea of people. More than that, he sewed it back on. He fixed my wife's bustle. He knows so many tips and tricks for cleaning clothes quickly, totally, and discretely (as if there was never anything to fix). He shows every bride and groom so much love and attentiveness, and his only response is "that's the way it's supposed to be." What's even more astounding, is that the Stewart Manor CC even helps with wedding planning. They provided us names of equally hypercompetent vendors who provided us gorgeous flowers, a tasty wedding cake, and a DJ who had everyone on the dancefloor til the last song. If you have an upcoming wedding, baby shower, Sweet 16, or just want to book a venue, the Stewart Manor Country Club should be your first and last stop.

I have to give a HUGE SHOUT OUT TO EMILY!!!!…read more EMILY you are an amazing young lady, thank you for making our stay so wonderful!!! She is an incredible employee and made our stay here 2/17-19-2026 absolutely ahh-mazing!! we had a late check in and she greeted us with a huge smile, fantastic sense of humor and made our stay (hubby and I) the best experience!!! Hubby and I were in town for his Besties wedding (he was the best man) and Hyatt was where we were all staying. Clean and comfy rooms, fantastic breakfast in the morning (extra charge) had lots of juice options, yogurt and fresh fruit and house potatoes, and lots of fresh hot perfectly brewed coffee, you just can't go wrong. I needed a steamer for my dress- no problem, I needed to know where Target was- no problem, every question answered. I am in hospitality (so to speak) in my line of work and I know, how interactions can be, sometimes positive and sometimes not so much- but Emily was grace and kindness with every interaction, not just with me, but with every other guests I saw her assisting! So great, that if she was closer to my company, I would hire her! If you are in town and need a great place to stay, I highly recommend Hyatt Place Garden City. Parking is a private lot, you can pay with an app on your phone.

Why 3 stars? Because it got the job done but was unremarkable…read more --- --- --- I stayed here when visiting New York because it was convenient for my friends who were also staying with me. The location worked out, and the hotel was perfectly fine, but I wouldn't ever need to stay here again. It's not super updated inside, but not totally outdated either. They do have a lot of power outlets, which was nice for 3 people and all of our electronics. We stayed in a room with 2 queen beds and a sleeper sofa. The "living area" was spacious enough for all of our stuff, but the queen beds are just a pinch more than an arm's length (maybe a leg's length) a part. I have noise cancelling earbuds, but if you are not so lucky, you'll feel close enough to the other bed mate(s) that it'll feel like you're sharing a mattress. The shower was solid: good pressure and gets really damn hot. The room gets nice and cool. Those are the positives. The pillows and small and dumpy. The free breakfast is pretty bad, namely the eggs, which were barely edible. You're located right next to a Whole Foods, if you need such a thing. There are a few drinks and snacks for sale at the front desk, but if you need anything other than the extreme basics, you're best served walking over to WFM. (That's Whole Foods Market, for those in the biz).

My husband and I checked in at 3 AM right after our wedding ended and Marissa at the front desk welcomed us with a warm smile and gave us all the information we needed to get situated. When we got to the room, we were absolutely surprised to see a bottle of champagne along with chocolate covered strawberries and other pastries waiting for us along with a very cute note! There were also rose petals made into a shape of a heart on the bed and towels folded into swans. It was such a nice touch, they really pay attention to detail! The rooms on the club floor are absolutely amazing, we need to come back when its warm enough to enjoy the huge balcony/patio. When you book at the club floor level, you get access to the lounge - we stopped by frequently for desserts, granola bars, snacks, coffee, soda, etc. Everything was *superbly clean*, which is what matters to me the most in any hotel I stay at. I also enjoyed how quiet it was - you don't hear your neighbors, you don't hear loud noises in the hall, it was perfect. The amenities were just what we needed to relax. Room service came very quickly for dinner and the food itself was amazing, the oysters tasted so fresh and presentation of everything was beautiful. The pool was my favorite part of our stay; it was sparkling clean and the perfect temperature for escaping the cold November air. Usually at hotels the indoor pools smell of chlorine which makes my eyes burn, but this pool was not like that at all, my eyes felt perfectly fine and we couldn't even smell any chlorine. My husband had a great workout at the gym, he was very satisfied with the machines and equipment. Location is also a huge plus, plenty of cafes and restaurants nearby, although the food is so good at the hotel I don't think you'll want to go anywhere else. More importantly, the LIRR is right there if you want a deeper excursion into Manhattan. All in all, we would definitely come back here, my husband says he's ready to move in haha
