We were given a list of recommendations for mortgage brokers from Wemert Group Realty. (Sarah &…read moreTony from Wemert are amazing) I did some research on all the companies provided on the list. After seeing the bountiful positive reviews on multiple sites for Home 1st Lending, we decided to go with this mortgage broker and boy am I glad I did! Caleb and the team have done a marvelous job. They are extremely knowledgeable and super responsive. They were always on top of anything and was there for any questions that we had. We were able to not only get a competitive APR but also a very low PMI. In the beginning I was super worried about the PMI since we didn't have the affordablility for 20% down but Caleb was able to find the perfect loan that fit our needs. I stress out very easily but Home1st Lending, LLC made this process easy and stressfree for me. This is the second time purchasing a property but I wish I had known about this mortgage broker for when we first purchased a home. I highly recommend them to anyone needing a reliable, friendly, and efficient mortgage broker. - S&C

It had been already three weeks since we complete the closing of our first "home"…read more As a newlywed family with two kids and a lots of illusions, there was missing a final piece to complete the perfection of our life. After we got married, we set up the plan for having the dream house to come true, this included budgeting, careful analysis of the monthly debt, getting advises from our parents and our closest friends, and a lot of faith in our Lord. We moved to Orlando due to my work and new horizons started to paint ahead of us: What is a good neighborhood? How can we invest our savings? How can we do for making this first experience not so painful?, a lot of questions crossed to our minds during our first two years of planning. Then a new assignment came, I was relocated back to Argentina for at least two years. New country, different culture, new challenges, in almost two years our dreams continued, but our planning basically stopped; it was not until two month before coming back when we decided to get back on the notepad and sketch a plan. "We will arrive to Orlando and we'll start the house hunting", and so we did. On a December 31st afternoon, your name came across the screen of the tablet, and by chance I clicked "Contact Chris Brown". That millisecond was crucial for bringing up a lot of questions ringing in my head. How will you trust this "guy"?, Why him and not the second option?, Will this person know how to deal with a "couple" like us?. It was not up to a couple of hours when you called us and then the questions started to vanish, and our trust grew to a point of dealing with you as a very old friend. You, your team and everyone that supported us trough all this experience, guided us from the perspective of a very experienced team, who knows the market and the right moves at every step. With all our heart, we will like to thank you and your Team (Renee, Dee, Aimee, Tony), which were always one call away to our very minimum questions, and always guiding us in the right path. We can say for sure that we will recommend our new brothers and sisters from CMPFL for this adventure of getting a house. Thanks our friends. God Bless you all.. When we started our journey with Chris Brown it was great he was there when we needed him and…read moreanswered all the questions we had. After we came in to sign the paperwork seems like things were turned upside down. Chris became unavailable yes it was due to training classes but when we told him many times we need to speak to him directly he couldn't take a few minutes before or after his training to give us a call. Inside he would text us or push us off on his team Toni or Anne. Through the process with the whole team we asked many times for them to explain something and we kept getting the same song and dance, even one time was told to stop worry everything would be fine. If everything was fine we would be seeing our closing costs going from $3,400's to $3,900 to $4,200 to $4,600 and finally to $5,200's at closing with no details why its increasing. This is my first home its my right to wonder and know the reason for the increase. We were also told that if you paid Debit or check for the Appraisal it would be credited back to you at closing, than weeks later we find that it would only be credited if there was seller credit left at the end. We were also told that the 2nd reappraisal would be collected at the closing and not to worry there is not extra money out of packet. Next time i look at my bank account I am now missing $175 for a reappraisal. My biggest issue about this was it was unauthorized I never gave Toni or Anne or anyone the okay to charge my account a 2nd time and I didn't even have a warning. When i brought this us to Toni it was just a sorry. When I brought this up to Chris he ended up pushing back to Toni instead of giving me a call to discuss this. Sorry but if one of my employees just broke the law i would make sure i call the person right away not text them. There were many other lies from Toni and Anne as well. Little things like saying an Appraisal was submit 1 day than find it wasn't submit until the following when we were trying to get the 3rd appraisal in so we might of had a chance to close on time. Little things like being told that FEMA and HUD just now released the lock for Appraisals than finding out from the same person later that same day it was released the day before. For these reason and many more I would never use Chris or his team again. I would not refer anyone to Chris. Yes the work was completed, Yes it was a week late, but when with a week extra we still found ourselves 30 minutes before closing searching for answers that we have been asking about for weeks.
