When I asked the director about why didn't she inform parents that my baby in the toddler class had gotten hands,foot and mouth disease, she stated "whenever there is a virus in the building,I send out one notification to alert parents it is in the building".Which is very misleading,because they failed to mention how many other kids have it in all the classrooms.They did not change anything is far as sanitation and when asked what are they doing to avoid reinfection,they told me "usually kids are not reinfected for a year."Which is only true if it is the exact same strain.But according to an urgent care doctor and my child's pediatrician,they can go and catch the exact same virus but a different strain right away.There is lack of knowledge/education at this facility when it comes to this virus.Also,the two doctors I took my child to educated me on how the virus is only spread to the genitals if the teachers are not changing gloves/washing hands after each diaper change.My baby only had it on the genitals,he sufderrrd from extremely high fevers,fatigue,loss of appetite,itchiness,swelling and severe burning on the genitals because of their lack of cleanliness.Of course they did not agree.They said they always see it start there(which the doctor said is not normal to start there hence the name of the virus,hands foot and mouth diesease).There is more I could say.But this is my main concern.Please keep your babies safe and away from this place.

As soon as I found out I was pregnant with my youngest son, I immediately contacted her to get on the waiting list. It was definitely worth the wait and she's absolutely amazing with him. I will scream from the mountain tops about her praises. She goes above and beyond what the state requires for certification. My children actually learn and are not just "babysat" or played with. There is a curriculum and even homework!This was definitely her calling and I'm so thankful that she followed it.

Unfortunately, this school did not work out for us. The teacher was nice but I did not care for the assistant teacher. It seemed the students were a drag and burden for her, particularly when they needed help. She kind of groaned, rolled her eyes at the thought of winter when preschoolers most likely need help with their coats and boots. These are preschoolers I speak of here but the mentality was figure it out on your own. Now I understand parent responsibility but this was to another degree. It was pretty much a disgust face by her with hand washing, where other preschools help the kids. Not saying teacher is supposed to wash the kids hands but just being present & helping if needed. I had a meeting with them about our son which could have been best resolved with them saying my son was not ready for preschool or that he needed a shorter schedule. I have now learned that happens where children just need another year before they start preschool or maybe just need a shorter schedule, but it was implied like something was wrong with him. We immediately took him out of the school. I was very dissapointed. We ended up commuting to a preschool the following year 30 minutes from where we lived that worked way better and was worth it, given the distance. My son is now happily in 1st grade and an avid reader. When it comes to education especially in the area of early education and young children, a passion or care for small children should be a factor. The atmosphere should also be inviting and positive where teachers have a genuine interest to teach kids. This was my first born and new experience. With that said, it is red flag when teachers express any disdain for students, especially for preschoolers who are learning what school is like. Looking back, I believe the teachers were inexperienced and not qualified. I would not recommend this preschool.

With all the kids that come in and out, Leslie knows them all by name and the parents! Due to covid, we have to drop at the door, but she never even has to ask me who I am there to pick up. She knows and cares about my son! My son and I were in a building fire the summer before he started preschool. Everyone evacuated safely, but it left my son very anxious about fire detectors, alarms and extremely nervous in those situations. Leslie and his teachers take extra care to keep an eye on him each month they have fire drills. She sends out a notice to all families about the drill and then PERSONALLY emails me about how my son reacted to the drill! With the support and compassion of his teacher, he seems to be letting go of that anxiety and fear during fire drills. I know that is due to their continuous reassurance and support. I can't thank them enough for not only teaching my son, but giving him a safe and loving environment when I am working. It gives me piece of mind to leave them in their care and he always has the biggest smile on his face when I pick him up! He shares about all the fun things he did each day our entire ride home. I definitely recommend LLCA- Crest Hill.
