They left her in the waiting room for 2 1/2 hours (we finally just left) with her heart beating out of her chest, and took in every other patient that arrived AFTER MY DAUGHTER, telling me that I was not a medical professional and these people were more critical. LIES, LIES, LIES!!!! During my 2 1/2 hours there, I heard every persons reason for coming to the ER, and even heard their triage assessment--- A bee sting, a pulled muscle, several women with "female problems," a person who fell on their tailbone, a girl with a cold that was on antibiotics for 3 months, and many more. Not to mention the people that were there before us who had been sitting in the waiting room on their phones, laughing and talking, going in and out to smoke, all those people, who WERE NOT CRITICAL, were taken back to a room, while my daughter sat in the corner of the waiting room unable to breathe with her heart beating out of her chest, her head twitching, and they still would not take her back to be seen. There were 2 nurses that were extremely rude, mad because the ER was so busy. Apparently, the Weirton Medical Center ER does not know what severe anxiety is and don't care to learn how to handle someone experiencing a severe panic attack. For them, I wish they could experience the absolute FEAR, DREAD and THOUGHTS that go thru one's mind when having one of these attacks. The one rude nurse kept telling her to calm down. If she could have calmed down, we wouldn't have had to go to the ER. Very unprofessional staff, from the doctors to the nurses. I filed a complaint and will continue to complain and go to higher ups to make sure my daughter is NEVER TREATED LIKE THAT AGAIN by these inconsiderate people.

After I told them what was what, they still played around to the point that I left, 20 minutes plus 40 minutes is an hour, waited an hour, the last 24 minutes no one at the check in desk and no one in the triage, the check in desk should be maned 24 hours a day not every 20 to 25 minutes for 5 minutes and the triage nurse should be triaging not drawing blood in the triage area, not checking sugar levels, the place could be ran much, much better. Its alot of waiting but the esquads just keep coming and cutting in front of you for smaller problems than what you have. 2 people came in saw the amount of people and left saying they would just call the squad and get in front of the line. Very, Very insufficient. everyones doing something but their job for the day.

I was physically getting sick from the pain and no sleep! they told me to stop coming there for opioids!!! I had not been on anything for a year. the head nurse was a total bitch and the rest of the staff that I saw were treating me as if I was a drug addict! I told my pain Dr and she was very upset for me!!!!! I have never went back! they suck!!!!! it says you have the right to be treated for pain but clearly they do not follow it with sincerity!!!!

And unfortunately, this last visit didn't even have the good woman. The lady we had today was cold, rude, had poor bedside manners.... The quality of care here... What care? She was horrible. Trinity IS horrible. They claim to be a religious organization, but in what way does the atmosphere they offer conducive to what Christianity teaches? I walked in Trinity West ER on Feb 16 th at approx 10 pm, I got checked in at Triage approx 12, I…read morehad severe stomach pains, dizzy and throwing up. i Ended up laying on the floor because it hurt to bad and was to dizzy to set up. staff was just walking around me, no one asked me if I was ok. My son went up and notified the nurse his mother was on the floor in pain. they told him they thought I left And then she said she was sorry that there was 2 people with cardiac arrest. I understand that they have priority, but they should have been taken to ICU or something, the whole ER shut down and there was only about 6 people waiting in the waiting room. they were way understaffed and the triage nurse had to work in the back room , poor management . I ended up leaving and going to Weirton medical where I was taken in right away. i Can only imagine what would happen if there was some emergency or accident where a group of people got hurt, they are not staffed equipped at Trinity west to take care of it.
