At Trinity Ecumenical Parish, aka TEP, 800 members of the Presbyterian, Lutheran, and Episcopal faiths - plus many who come from other backgrounds - worship and serve together. Services rotate every month, with members attending all of the services. There are nearly unlimited volunteering opportunities for service within the church, and in the broader Smith Mountain Lake community. The church building is a community resource, shared by many organizations from the community. Two experienced pastors (male and female) share the pulpit, and the music ministry is among the finest you can find anywhere. (One pastor and his wife met as professionals in the opera, and the choir director composes original hymns.) The sermons are inspirational, and everyone is welcome. Two services are available every Sunday, including an early service that is non-denominational. read more
