Dr. Weiss was recommended by a dermatologist in No. Va. who didn't trust his own ability to…read moreminimize veins close to my daughter's eyes. Setting the appointment was extremely easy, despite our need for specific dates due to the distance we'd have to travel. The receptionist was very nice, and the nurse was outstanding-- full of information, friendly, comforting. Dr. Weiss was extremely clear about the procedure, took time to address my geeky questions about the cool vein-finding technology, and addressed all our issues. The procedure was quick and involved minimal discomfort. They set our expectations for the post-procedure recovery appropriately and outlined options if there was need for more vein removal. My daughter and I could not have been happier with the entire experience, including cost and, importantly, results!

ZERO STARS. Awful doesn't begin to describe this practice. I called and was told they treat…read morechildren. We were scheduled to see Dr. Sean Wu. On the day of the appointment, we were seen by the doctor for maybe 5 minutes in which he stated that he did not treat children. Sent on our merry way and billed for the visit. I contested the charge and was bounced between their office billing department and compliance. This went on for weeks. They told me that I was billed "the bare minimum" and that the charge was for the "diagnosis" ---what diagnosis?? Last I checked the meaning of diagnosis is identifying a disease, illness, or problem or a conclusion made about what the specific condition is. What I got was a "I don't treat kids, and I can't tell you what that is" and a bill for wasting my time. I will not be returning to this practice and strongly advise anyone NOT to give them your business.

He's one of those primary care doctors who chose primary care because they believe in it, not because they couldn't get into dermatology or surgery. He went to MIT for undergraduate and worked at MIT in computer science before computers were widespread, and he went back to medical school after a successful career in computer science. He's located at GBMC, and it's easy to get lab tests downstairs. Now that I've moved away, I'm having trouble finding a doctor who even comes close to measuring up.

My father's physician was in the same practice, and same thing happened to him. Thank you, Obamacare. That's what happens when a doctor takes the time to get to know a patient today, listen to all his/her concerns, address them, explain all the side effects of prescribed medications, etc. Dr. Lamson was a consummate professional who left left no symptom unaddressed, no illness undiagnosed before you left his office. Now I go to a doctor who sees me for 15 minutes, doesn't even listen to my heart or lungs even though I have had hypertension for 25 years, and double pneumonia twice, and throws me out of my office (times up!) before I can get my prescriptions refilled. Youth of Amerika, this is your future!
