After spending 20 minutes waiting to be taken back after my appointment time I waited another 20 in the room for Anderson. She spent less than 10 minutes speaking with me. She dismissed all my concerns. Told me my psoriasis would just keep coming back so I could get a topical cream if I really wanted one but really it's just a temporary fix. I was told my hair thinning was just something I'd have to live with, wasn't aware of light technology or much success with any other products. Didn't suggest even getting any lab tests etc...nothing just told me to live with it basically. Then I asked about under eye dark circles and she said they're shadows and no one pays attention to them. Try concealer but otherwise there's no fix. I was in shock. I couldn't honestly believe after waiting two months for an appointment that she dismissed me like that. I'd never recommend her to anyone and am already looking for another as it was a complete waste of my time and a co-pay, so disappointing.

Hands down the worst customer service I've ever experienced with any Doctors office is what I am currently experiencing with Johns Hopkins Dermatology department. They set up their phone system so that you cannot speak to anyone about anything. They have not returned calls from the 3 voice mail messages I have left them over the last week. My suggestion...AVOID Hopkins Dermatology!! As soon as I get this straightened out I will choose a new doctor. Unfortunately, I need this medicine, so I can't leave until I get this worked out.

We were in panic mode !! We were referred to Dr. Gaston and took advantage of his walk in hours as a new patient and life was great !! It was the best referral ever. The office is not in a preferred neighborhood, but I don't mind. There are 2 office locations, this is the closest to me. Dr. Gaston is a neighborhood champion and for that reason, I appreciate him remaining in this neighborhood and being accessible to those who appreciate him most. I love that Dr. Gaston has the staff at this location that he's had since my 1st visit w minimal turnover. That speaks volumes. I highly recommend this provider to anyone looking for a dermatology provider.

I am extremely grateful to have stumbled upon her and her practice. I love and trust this facility so much that I came back the same day to see an aesthetician. Laurie was the sweetest! I am SO glad I asked before I went hunting for a NP on my own because after meeting with Deb, I was introduced to a whole new world of functional medicine and I love it! She is now my first go-to for any health issues before I go to anyone else. If you are going to see Deb, she takes a very different approach to your health. Read up on Functional Medicine.....basically you are evaluated as a system. She will ask you about stuff that goes into your body (food, skin care products etc) and what comes out (mostly details about your poop and pee...). Look it up and you'll know why. Basically, she will take a deeper look into your issues before she treats you just for the symptoms. In lieu of drugs & traditional treatments be prepared to work on habits and behaviors...and be bit open to acupuncture (which I LOVE) and other options for treatments. Depending on what you are seeing her she may order up some tests that are out of the norm. After seeing her for about a year, for some minor health concerns I can definitely say she has helped me in preventing and eliminating minor issues. I am also more aware and knowledgeable of my health than I ever was. I highly recommend Deb's services especially if you are seeking a more proactive approach to managing your health. She takes insurance too, which is way better on the budget than it has been in the past. Otherwise, she is very upfront with her costs and will work with you. PS. If you are weirded out by poop discussions...it will get less weird over time as you work with her.

I promise you, I am not exaggerating when I say, this was the best spa experience I have ever had and I have visited quite a few spas both stateside and internationally. We booked our spa services in advance, as a birthday gift for one of my friends and which included complimentary valet parking for spa patrons. As soon as we entered the spa, we were greeted warmly but two receptionist, a gentlemen and young lady. In fact, the energy and excitement the entire staff showed during our visit was so refreshing. Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful. You can tell the enjoy their jobs. Nothing like feeling good about the money you're about to spend in support of a local small business! Art of Balance Wellness Spa has many of the same amenities that other spas offer with a few extras. The spa was decorated very tastefully and most important, it was very clean. There are massage areas, a changing room/ bathrooms, showers and a sauna. There was also a women's only seating area and a coed area as well. My friends and I enjoyed some champagne and chocolate-covered strawberries in the beautiful courtyard prior to enjoying our spa services. Our host Gina, checked in with us often, she also gave us a a tour of the spa prior to us settling in. There was a total of four guest with my party, three of us booked a spa, but my bestie opted for the body scrub. While me and one of friends were escorted to the massage rooms to receive our services, the other two ladies were served tea, finger sandwiches and other treats in the lounge area. After we received out services, which switch spots, enjoying the yummy foods and soothing hot tea! A very professional gentlemen completed my service and the massage was AMAZING! I felt so relaxed and comfortable, the pressure was just right. The oils he used were not greasy and smelled amazing! The massage room and chair were equally as comfortable, I didn't find myself being smothered which I have felt when laying face down and on other massage chairs. What is equally important to me is how I felt days after the services. There was no lingering soreness or tenderness in my body after my massage, something I have experienced with massages at other spas. I will admit, the total price of the package was a bit pricey, but; you are not simply paying for basic services, you're paying for an entire experience! Therefore, the price which included generous tips were money well spent! This will certainly not be my last visit to the Art of Balance Wellness Spa, in fact; I am looking into booking my husband and I for services in October to celebrate our birthdays!
