I was concerned that it'd be hard to get the joint properly repaired, and/or prohibitively expensive. I stopped by Custom Metal Manufacturing around opening time. The workshop is a treasure trove: minibikes, custom signs, and sculptures everywhere. Ed and Gerard were super friendly and great storytellers. Ed looked at the frame, said "I can fix that", and fired up his welding gear right away. Ten minutes of good conversation later the work was done, and at a very reasonable price. Also their website, portfolio, information, and contracts are super detailed and clear, which promotes confidence and demonstrates to me they care about their brand. Leo is a true artist. He has a very calming vibe to him. I wanted a gate design that would be harmonious with the Tuscan ranch style exterior of our home and also different from anything that I saw online. At our initial consultation, I had some sketches and couldn't exactly pinpoint what I wanted. Leo showed me color samples and iron accent books. He was the only one that brought this for me to view which was extremely helpful. Basically at the end of our meeting, we came to a pretty solid conclusion of what I would like. His pricing is very reasonable and was competitive with other quotes and I felt he added a lot of insight and artistic value. He didn't put limitations on what I wanted. I was told by other contractors that I shouldn't and couldn't do certain things. I'm glad I stuck with my gut and hired Resolute Iron Works.
