After deciding to hire KSN, they got to work quickly. We decided on a full kitchen remodel and Leo walked us through all of our options and the timeline. KSN provided stellar communication through the project, and often followed up to make sure that our expectations were met. Whenever someone other than Leo did any work (electrician, tile work etc) he made time to stop by periodically to inspect the work. The process was smooth from start to finish, and the total time for the project was pretty close to what Leo advised during our planning. We would definitely recommend KSN to friends and family, and will continue using their services for our future home improvement needs.

I have been a customer of Chosen Decorating for 20 years, they have done work in all 3 houses I…read morehave owned plus my parents and my brother with no problems. I am very particular and these guys do good work. If they painted over my outlet covers like that other reviewer says, I would have never hired them again. They are the complete opposite. This is the work they have done for me, it is extensive: House #1 Tamarack Dr Bolingbrook 1997-2004 - Painted entire house, painted trim, installed crown moulding, built cabinets, remodel my main bathroom with adding a tub door, tile floor, one mirrored wall, built in oak linen closet, new vanity and wall mirror that slid open with medicine cabinet in the wall behind, oak trimmed the hallway and installed some psychedelic wallpaper that I picked out. Work was done immaculately. House #2 Palmer Dr Bolingbrook 2004-2012 - Painted entire house, installed crown molding and wallpaper in master bedroom. Installed heated ceramic tile floor in master bathroom. I drew up the plan for the tiling on AutoCad and provided the blueprints of exactly what I wanted the tile floor to look like, and that is exactly how it came out. Installed a marble small tile backsplash in my kitchen which was killer. Remodeled my powder room with a raised type faux finish that they applied with spatulas, installed a victorian sink with granite countertop and new toilet, mirror, towel hangers, and light fixtures. They insulated and finished my attached garage which came with just rafters. Powerwashed my 6' cedar fence and stained it beautifully. House #3 Lemont 2012-now - nobody has worked on it but Chosen Decorating. When I bought it, I had them come in while the house was empty and work on it for 2 weeks straight...Painted entire house and trim, added missing trim, installed flooring, fixed numerous leaks, leaking toilets and fixtures, installed new slop sink, installed new sump pump and backup battery sump pump system, fixed ejector pit and sealed, added can lighting to my stairwell, recaulked and painted entire exterior, fixed a leaning fence, built a step into the side door, fixed a roofing issue/error on previous owners part. A couple years into the house, I had them remodel my kitchen completely -- a big job with relocating water and gas lines, all new appliances, cabinets, countertops, new can lighting, totally custom tile job on the floor and walls. Chosen decorating stripped my kitchen down to bear wood and built a beautiful dream kitchen for me. These guys do really good work, I will continue to hire them, I hope that I am able to add some photos so that I can show the kind of work they have done for me, it always turns out better than expected.

Chosen Decorating has been doing work for us for 16 years. We first hired Scott Chocian in 2002 to…read morepaint the entire inside of our home. He also helped us update our dining room at that time by adding a chair rail. We were very impressed with the quality of his carpentry work, as well as the painting. Over the years, Scott has painted the outside of our house and the garage doors several times, and he painted the inside of the house again in 2011. When Scott was here last summer doing outside painting, he showed me pictures of bathroom and kitchen remodeling work he had done for other customers. The work appeared to be of a very high quality. Coincidentally, my wife and I had been discussing the need to update our master bathroom, so Scott came over and gave us some preliminary ideas on what might be done. Having done work for us before, we were certain of the care and quality Scott would bring to the job, so this past spring we hired him to do the work. We then decided it would make sense to update our guest bathroom as well, and Scott was very flexible about getting the additional work into his schedule while he was here. We greatly appreciated that. I'm very happy to say that the job was completed beautifully. Our friends and family cannot believe the quality and craftsmanship of the job! We have also found Scott's pricing to be very fair and reasonable. In addition, three of our neighbors have hired Scott to do work for them. Needless to say, we are very pleased with all the work Scott has done for us over the years, and are looking forward to him coming back in the near future to complete some other projects we have discussed. You can't go wrong with Scott Chocian and Chosen Decorating! Lou Miller

With the help of Jeff and Lucas who were amazing to work with the project came together in no time at all. The workers that were sent for my bathtub to shower conversion in my bathroom were sloppy and I even heard one say to the other....do you even know what you're doing. It should have sent red flags to me, but I continued with the project. My advice is to never, ever hire Home By Choice Solutions, unless you want inferior products installed in your house and an unprofessional attitude accompanying it.

As it turns out, after waiting for the cabinets to be built, one was almost four inches too short. The owner seems a bit surprised that we would want the cabinet remade in the right length. My biggest beef is that after the doors arrived (repainted beautifully) the owner did not intend to paint the areas of the older cabinets that were in view and those areas were a completely different color. He agreed to provide paint so that we could paint those areas ourselves, took full payment and never provided that paint. Consider using this very nice man to do your project, but do not pay in full until you are completely satisfied and the job is completely done.
