This originally was going to be a 5-star review because of how professional Dr.Joshi is and how transparent he was about the work getting done on my teeth. I still stand by my statement that Dr. Joshi is a WONDERFUL dentist. I recently changed my mind after receiving Account Statement for $100 after I was told I had paid in full during my original appointment in February. When I called to ask what had happened I was met with different answers 1. They forgot to add the additional work done in the original bill 2. My insurance pays every 2 weeks so there was a discrepancy on the bill 3. There was a glitch/error from the computer when adding it in. I personally don't believe its good practice. If I had recieved a call shortly after my appointment explaining there was an error I would have no issue with that, mistakes happen. However sending off an account statement saying I owe them money due to an error made on their behalf without any explanation seems uncaring and unprofessional. read more

Happy wife leads to a happy life. But it gets better when God also Allows you to have a good mechanic and a good dentist in your life as well. Mechanic discussion is for another day / review (Frank at Humberview VW), but this one is to share my thoughts on Dr. Rashid. I've been going to Dr. Rashid at several of his practices for the past decade or so. In a line of work where dentists can rip your wallet apart by scaring you to get treatments you don't need (and may God Protect us when they know that patient has insurance), Dr. Rashid is a God sent. He gives honest feedback on true condition and helps solves the problems rather than creating new ones that don't exist. I can understand that many dentists are looking to make money (just like the rest of us), but it appears that many don't believe they are answerable to God in there Hereafter. Every penny earned by tricking someone intentionally will come to bite you on the Day of Judgement so amend your ways before it's too late when neither your money nor your high profile friends will be able to help you. If you (dear money-driven dentist) need to see how a good, honest dentist should be - go spend a day with Dr. Rashid. Sorry if that sounded harsh, but had to be said. All said, if you have a tooth issue and want honest advice and want your pain to be resolved without paying for unnecessary fixes, don't think twice - call Dr. Rashid. read more

My family and I have been coming here for almost 25 years. Dr Carr had been my dentist for as long as I can remember, but he left around three years ago to open up his own practice in the city. I was allocated to Dr Rashid next, and after Dr Carr, I felt like he was a bit of a let down. To be fair, it was the end of the day, but my visit felt rushed. The hygienist said he didn't have time for my X-rays and I probably didn't need them. After my cleaning, Dr Rashid came in, glanced at his clipboard, said I had great teeth and left. The year after, I tried making an appointment with Dr Wheeler - but he's not taking any new clients and plans to retire soon. I made an appointment with Dr Elvikis instead. My hygienist (the same guy as last time - his name escapes me), mentioned I had a cavity during my cleaning. I asked him where a few times, but he refused and said the dentist would tell me everything when she comes in. As I rinsed my mouth, Dr Elvikis came in a said loudly "I told you not to call me while they're still rinsing, you're wasting my time." (Awesome first impression!) She looked at my X-rays and told him that he did a bad job and they were blurry (loved hearing this, as I'm paying out of pocket). She said I had nice teeth. I said that the hygienist mentioned I have a cavity, she said come back in if I feel like I need to get it fixed. I asked her where it was and she said the hygienist will give me all the details. She left, and the hygienist reluctantly pointed out the secret location of my cavity on the X-ray. The whole visit left me confused and feeling gypped. Also, they no longer include fluoride varnish treatment with your cleaning. Just a drugstore Crest Pro Health fluoride mouthwash afterwards - the same stuff known to stain your teeth brown, cause mouth sores and alter your taste buds. Dr Wheeler has great reviews on google, but if you're not already a patient of his, I would not recommend coming here. The dentists here seem more focused on patient turnover than proper patient care. My family and I will be looking for dental care provider. read more

Tridont dental is everything you could want in a dental office. The staff is courteous, the office is clean and professional and both the hygienists and dentists are nice and knowledgeable. They have great systems as well. You receive timely notifications of appointment by email and/or text, which is great. They are also flexible with appointments outside of office hours. Dave is my hygienist there and he is great -- always very positive and has seemingly limitless energy. My only complaint is that one of the dentists tried to charge us for an upgraded tooth implant that was implanted but that we did not request (we wanted the more affordable version). In the end they didn't charge us but we did have to fight back a bit. I have had limited interaction with the dentists so far so I can't speak to how good/bad they are. read more

I am in my mid-30's, Tridont has been my family dentist office since I was in primary school. Never had a problem, Dr. Wheeler was the dentist we always saw. In mt early adult life I worked for a company who had their own dentist for us to see. At that point and a few years I used that dentist. When I left the employment, 2011, I needed to get a past filling refilled, I called and Dr Wheeler was booked up, due to the pain I choose to see Dr. Rashid. I went in to see him with my tooth ache. At this time, I didnt have dental insurance, my employer at the time didnt offer dental, this appointment was from my own pocket. Apparently the pain wasnt the tooth I had thought it was, but the one behind it. Dr Rashid fixed the tooth that was bothering me, and put a temp filling in the tooth that had the filling missing. He told me to come back in as soon as possiable to fix the tooth. During 2012, unfortunately, at that time LIFE hit me hard, physically, mentally and financially. I was not dealing with a chronic medical illness which required me to apply for Ontario Works,while I wait for Ontario Disability Support Program this was such a difficult and shameful time in my life. I have worked since I was 15 yrs old. During the year, my tooth hurt alot and sometimes not at all, I did make several appts with Tridont due to the pain, when I first called I spoke with Manjit about my financial situation that OW would cover the tooth repair as it was an emergency, it was a desperate empegency. Pain was unbareable. Manjit would NOT accept any patients on Ontario Works for Tridont (she seemed to get enjoyment telling me this)...I call this DISCRIMINATION. I had no problems ever making an appt if I have coverage or choose to cover the cost from my own pocket. Ive been a patient for years and they CHOOSE to not help me with my situation. I was too unwell to fight them, I didnt go to my appt. Several times throughout the year, I tried to get enough money collected to pay for appt to finally get this tooth fixed. I made appts, and realized i just couldnt afford the appt so I didnt go. It makes me sad that Tridont Dental closes their doors on people who genuinely needed help. Am I a peice of dirt at the bottom of the garbage can? No I wasnt when I had coverage from an employment or from my own pocket. Ive never felt so useless, trashy, and not worth much by anyone, not to mention a company. I finally gathered up some money to make an appt to get my tooth fixed. I wanted to go to another dentist but since Tridont already knew me, I just sucked it up and went. The day of my appt (sept '12) I went into Tridont to see Dr. Rashid again. This time he treated me with some much disrespect that I wanted to cry. He told me that he couldnt fix my tooth but he had to EXTRACT that tooth and the tooth he repaired last visit, he then told me the work he did on my last visit was a waste because it needs to get pulled. He was blunt with his delivery about removing both my teeth. He delievered the information in a harsh, rude and plain mean. Almost as if he was blaming me. I felt so low sitting in his chair. He showed me my chart with the "cancellations" in RED telling me IF I kept these appt, he might have been able to save my teeth, but now he must remove both teeth. I wanted to cry. I felt so ashamed. I explained to him, that I dont have the fiances to just go to the dentist when I need to because I would hinder my fixed income for the month. I told him that if Tridont wasnt so judgemental towards people on Social Assistance, I could've gotten the work done long ago. I told him about my illness etc...there was no compassion. Dr. Rashid went on to tell me not to worry, I can get implants done to replace the 2 teeth getting extracted. I felt a bit better after that, I didnt want to be a 33yr old with missing teeth. Once i asked him how much dental implants were, and $3000 came out of his mouth, I wanted to die. If I didnt even have the funds for the current appt, how would I get $3000 for the implants?!?! Is this man serious??? He even told me that it was discounted. I just sat there in disbelief, I have never been treated so nasty by a professional ever! I never asked for my illness, it fell on my lap. He gave me a script for pain and an amoxicillin, I made an apt for the next week to get my teeth extracted. I left the office, went into the mall sat on a bench and broke into tears!!! I called my mom to tell her what happened, how I was treated. Dr. Rashid was mean, nasty and rude with how he delivered the infomation to me...there was not 1% of compassion or understanding for my situation. Tridont didnt even offer me some sort of payment plan or other options. I dont want to be on Social Assistance but right know that is where my life landed, and until I can get my health in order, I need social assistance. No company should treat people on Ontario Works like garbage. They didnt treat me like that when I had a dental plan or paid on my own. read more
