My professors are transparent and amazing. One of my professors, Dr. Tapia, helped me emotionally and psychologically when I told him that I was in a very traumatic incident almost three years ago. He was very understanding. But you guys need to address the whole cat-killing scandal. It's unacceptable to have people killing cats.

I had to call just to get my own student id because they were gonna forget it otherwise. They are so rude over the phone. The first guy blamed me for calling too early to speak to a general counselor, then when I told him that it said the time and I was there five minutes after, he said she was late. I told him I needed to speak to someone about enrolling, he told me that I have to speak to a generals counselor before I can even speak to a majors counselor. So, I went back to their little only chat and waited again. I spoke to her, told her I was doing a career change because I already have multiple degrees. I just wanted to do court reporting. She told me that going to private schools would be an issue because it's different. Okay... then she told me to speak to a major's counselor and to call back the other number because I needed more information. I called back, someone else answered and told me the majors counselor for court reporting wasn't in until the 17th. I said okay and I waited. Called in multiple times today, nobody answered. I go to their online chat, it took forever to speak to someone. They said I need to speak to a majors counselor, give me the link, and I wait more and NOBODY ANSWERS. I hate it here. I started calling and trying to reach someone around 10AM, it's not 11:45 and I still can't reach someone to help me. I have CalVet, which means I can go tuition free. I have my student ID. They keep telling me to just register, but I have no idea which classes to register into. I do not know if I need to transfer GE credits. I do not know how to connect my CalVet benefits to their school. I do not know anything about their process, other than they CLEARLY DO NOT WANT TO HELP ME ENROLL FULLY. It is the most frustrating experience knowing that I could start classes but I can't because nobody there can answer questions. I'm actually over it. If it's this challenging to start school, then my assumption is that they won't be much help when I'm actually fully enrolled and registered. I guess this is part of the reason why there's a shortage of court reporters in California -- because schools like this don't gaf about who wants in. Do not go here if you are a Veteran, spouse of a Veteran, or dependent of a Veteran.

Awful faculty. I finished the biomed certificate program In December 2025 and entered the…read moreassociates program right after. Kept inquiring about receiving the certificate and did not receive it until April. This is also the ONLY school to ask for a syllabus to transfer credit. I have provided my transcripts from CSULB to transfer credits, but apparently that was invalid and I needed to submit a syllabus from a class I took in 2017. Since when does a syllabus supercede a transcript. When I inquired about graduation, I was given October 9th only later to be told the Graduation will be held in July. I have been in this school taking night classes after a full time job for 1.5yrs and took out 2 loans to attend only to find out that I won't be able to attend graduation because of a miscommunication. The amount of delays and lack of communication is disgusting. The teachers themselves have been a wealth of knowledge, but the other faculty need to get their act together.

As a now former student of SCIT who voluntarily withdrew from the general electrician program if I…read morecould give one piece of advice to anybody who is interested in attending the school I would tell them to stay away. The first class in the program is Code Intro which is taught by Mr. Kahn who is a very kind man and clearly cares about the success of his students, he takes the time to explain everything and will help you himself if you are having a hard time with any of the material covered in the class. I passed Code Intro with no issues and would soon find out that unfortunately after Code Intro the following class and its teacher would be drastically different. The following class after Code Intro is Code A which is taught by Mr. Winton--I was honestly quite surprised at how much of a gap in difficulty there was between Code Intro and Code A the school really does an awful job of preparing you for the transition between classes. Mr. Winton is a nice guy sure, but his teaching method is honestly pretty awful his entire routine is to go over the NEC lecture book for the first half of class and will then briefly tell you about the lab project you have due at the end of the week, he barely takes any time to explain what you need to do in the lab and doesn't really tell you how to do it he just assumes that coming straight from Code Intro you'll know what to do even though students at that point most likely have had no experience working on a panel. Mr. Winton also for lack of a better term seems to have pretty bad ADHD either that or he just gets very easily distracted because he loves going on these wild tangents and going into these personal anecdotes. He also will literally tell the entire class that students often have a hard time doing well with the exams that he creates, if students are known to have a hard time with the exams you make then shouldn't you consider changing your approach to them? The fact that he so gleefully told us that was pretty amazing...I graduated from a four-year college and boy would I have hated to have a professor like Mr. Winton, I sincerely hope that the school somehow sees this and decides to take action and have a discussion with him. Besides Mr. Winton's subpar teaching methods the work in the lab was honestly never enjoyable, you feel extremely self-conscious about the work you need to do and if you need any help from the lab assistants boy oh boy prepared to feel judged. One lab assistant in particular, Russell, has quite a bad attitude and is extremely judgey and passive aggressive I honestly have no idea how someone like him who seems to have pretty bad social skills was able to become an assistant in a school--maybe he actually is good at electrical work but that doesn't necessarily qualify him to be teaching students in a school. Besides everything I've mentioned one other thing I need to bring up is how cheap the materials department is, all the materials they give you feel extremely cheap and are of course overpriced. One day I forgot my hard hat at home and needed to get one in order to work in the lab that day, I went to the materials department and asked if I could get a replacement one and they actually told me that I had to go to a nearby Home Depot and get one myself. Hard hats are extremely cheap and easy to find I got myself one at Home Depot for $10, the fact that they weren't willing to give me one while I was paying thousands of dollars to be in that class did not sit well with me. All in all this was an enormous waste of my time and energy, had the program continued in a class style similar to Code Intro I most likely would have stayed however unfortunately the quality of the program fell off of a cliff soon after. I luckily had someone paying for my classes and I genuinely feel bad for them spending their money, this program is sure as hell not worth $20k you're better off either finding a different program or just learning a different trade at a community college.

I was initially…read morehesitant because I didn't want to pay for another class after spending so much money on nursing school. When I first took my Nclex, I was overconfident and failed at 145 (maximum). I was devastated and contacted AHE a few days after seeing the F result; it was the best decision I ever made! Mr. Don not only taught the class how to better understand nursing concepts, but he also shared personal experiences, exam strategies, words of wisdom, and was constantly reminding us to be humble no matter where our license took us. I'm looking forward to his class meeting and wish it was like all of my nursing classes. He's very entertaining, full of energy, and always has a good joke to tell. I believe the stories he shared distinguished the class from others at the comprehensive review center. "Son of a gun!" was his favorite phrase. Which is what I was saying to myself during the exam when I came across a difficult question ahahaha. One of the pieces of advice he gave us on our last day of class was to use our common sense if we didn't know the answer. That, as well as everything else he taught in class, I put into practice. Ms. Mary was also attentive to all of my questions, and they treat us as if we were family. They told us about their wonderful children. Mr. Don and Ms. Mary are enthusiastic about their work. I believe that Mr. or Sir Don's class assisted me in passing the second time around and stopping at 75 this time! Most of my colleagues who passed the Nclex left the center doubting whether they passed, whereas I left the Nclex center confident that I passed! That demonstrates that I am preferred. You will pass if you follow his class process, listen carefully to his lectures, and believe in yourself that he will prepare you for the Nclex. I strongly recommend AHE Review Center; it is well worth the money!
