The stage at Capers is massive, the house is spacious with 250 seats, ticketing booth that's not a tiny box, enclaves to have concessions, merch, different vendors, an art exhibition, partnership venture or any other nice events such as this Piccolo Spoleto SC Public Radio & Shortwave Kitsch Radio Show collaboration! I worked at MUSC, and I was so very proud to do so! I lived on Daniel island and drove there M- F…read more What a beautiful drive. MUSC then was a very busy place. Huge campus, amazing talent, good training, and I was excited everyday. It is a trauma center. You grow and expand daily. The place is like a small town, and you meet talent from all over the world! I enjoyed it because all the departments connected, for being huge it clicked daily. This place takes care of their people, management, doctors, HR, educators, are amazing! I always hear negative things about hospitals, but folks who come, do not realize what's behind the scenes all the testing, lab work, ETC... that all takes time! Must be processed and read. And they are usually helping many folks at once. I also had surgery here, and it all went very very well. I felt safe, secure, and had no doubts I was in good hands. So MUSC thank you!!!

I've never been a student, faculty member, or administrator at CSU. Only you (or your high…read moreschooler) can decide if CSU is the right college for you, so I'll just share my experiences from a visitor's perspective. I visited CSU to work a track meet and had a great experience. The outdoor areas of the campus and athletic facilities are impressive, especially for a school of this size. The football stadium is modern and the track is finished for all events (including the steeplechase, with barriers and a water pit). All of the student athletes I interacted with were pleasant, polite, well-mannered, and had good sportsmanship. The student body seems diverse- many states and several other countries make up the sports teams. The coaches and administrators were also welcoming to the timing crew, track officials, and other competitor colleges/coaches. If you're visiting CSU, several hotels are conveniently located just blocks from the campus, including Wingate, Fairfield, and Hampton Inns. I would recommend staying in one of those hotels because downtown Charleston is about 20-25 minutes down I-26.

The beautiful and functional crafts on display showcased a variety of skills and artistry, accentuated by the haunting and historic atmosphere of Charleston's Old City Jail. During my short visit I watched live brick making, stone carving, woodworking, tile making demonstrations, and learned about a variety of specialized hand tools.

If you walk into the atrium of the A building, you can still see the facade of the old high school-it's very cool! The C building primarily houses research and is located on the corner of Bee and President. This building is older and more dated, so recent renovations have been done to improve it. If you're visiting these buildings, there is metered parking nearby and parking garages. The college recently celebrated 50 years. They offer masters and PhD programs in PT, OT, PA, MHA, and more. They recently introduced a bachelor's program, as well. I work in research within the college and while I can only speak to my experience, I've really loved working here.

The first floor is home to a state of the art simulation center which is utilized by all schools on the campus because of how many learning opportunities there are within the center. The second floor has two large classrooms, both with dual projectors and the capability to comfortably seat over 80 students. The upper two floors have both offices, another lab, computer labs, and other resources. The College of Nursing is ranked as one of the top nursing programs in the nation, and the university is proud of both the Accelerated Bachelor's of Science in Nursing and the combined Doctorate/Masters of Nurse Practitioner programs. Because of its central location, the university is able to send nursing students to many clinical opportunities in the area, exposing them to experiences that they may not be able to get anywhere else. They have redone some of the classrooms which are nice and pristine. They have alone updated all of the technology in the building, so it looks very high-tech and snazzy. They have a little concierge in the main area where you can buy bottled drinks, snacks, and Starbucks coffee. This is a very nice feature for when you are in between classes when you need a coffee or a little bite. However, the printers are so slow and take forever. I'd recommend going to the library instead to print things out. This is my favorite building to have my classes.

I got 2 degree with ECPI (Associates & Bachelors) and I am working on my third (Masters). It's small so you may have more one on one time with the professors if you need it. The entire staff, from Present Weaver to Mr. Neal, are there to help you achieve your goals. The open house is the best open house in the area! The school offers you 10 Certifications at $15 per cert. and the last time I checked the Security + cert was $365.00. *the university is also good for people that have been out of school for along time. Cons: sometimes your classes are out of order to your curriculum but for the most part they keep you on a pretty steady track. Overall: one of the best decisions you can make!
