I also made some valuable professional and personal connections during my time there. That said, there were areas where the program could have been strengthened. Some faculty selections could have been improved, and I believe that diversity and equity initiatives should be more deeply embedded within an organization's culture and practices, rather than serving primarily as a public-facing effort. Additionally, tutoring and academic support services, particularly for students in this program, would benefit from further development and investment.

The Beatty Center School of Business - College of Charleston is a great place to learn and study. The vibe and atmosphere of this the Beatty Center is professional and business like with a stock market ticker, computer workstations, and other cool items that add to the overall feel of the location. I like the auditorium at the Beatty Center as it is big enough to host speakers and events. It is good to have a building like this available in the Charleston area.

There are many levels and lengths of trails from hiking to biking. Ancient trees and abundant wildlife is present including alligator, bobcat, pheasant, deer, Turkey, many migratory birds, eagles, hawks, and I've even seen a golden eagle. There is also a couple of spots to drop a kayak or canoe in the many creeks and Back river.

Huge campus, amazing talent, good training, and I was excited everyday. It is a trauma center. You grow and expand daily. The place is like a small town, and you meet talent from all over the world! I enjoyed it because all the departments connected, for being huge it clicked daily. This place takes care of their people, management, doctors, HR, educators, are amazing! I always hear negative things about hospitals, but folks who come, do not realize what's behind the scenes all the testing, lab work, ETC... that all takes time! Must be processed and read. And they are usually helping many folks at once. I also had surgery here, and it all went very very well. I felt safe, secure, and had no doubts I was in good hands. So MUSC thank you!!!

The only bad thing is that the hours overlap for the pool and eating. You have to decide whether you want to eat lunch on the weekends or swim. The pool is closed fridays and Sundays...the days that A regular person has time to swim which is a disappointment Also the food is one 1 hour each meal on the weekends and you have to wake up early to get breakfast . I love the rocking chairs outside the student center and the recreational activities.

Like my review on the FLETC in Glynco, Georgia, this review…read morewill give you the nitty gritty of what to expect for your stay on campus, not just what to expect at the cafeteria. Like I've stated before, don't let the horror stories of your office scare you. Unless you're just extremely high maintenance, the accommodations here will be more than adequate. There are pretty much only two main dorms on campus: Building 39 and the one behind it. The rooms in 39 looks like a mini hotel rooms, with a mini fridge and all. The AC units are preset but it wasn't terribly hot in July, so you'll survive. There's a TV on the wall and a small wooden desk which is oddly oiled and shined by the ladies every day. Speaking of which, the housekeepers are extremely nice and do a great job servicing everyone so don't be "that person" who trashes their room everyday. This campus is absolutely tiny compared to the one in Glynco. So if you're in building 39 you can walk outside and the chow hall is on your left and within shoe throwin' distance. If you have a really good arm, you can probably throw the show to the "Student Center" that's directly in front of the running track. I have no idea what the "other" dorm building is like but I have a sneaking suspicion that it's eerily similar to building 39. Although further from chow, it's just a short stumble to the G-bar. Is it me or is the food here a lot better than Glynco? Time to hoard up on some banana and peanut butter! Fried chicken day here is on Wednesdays. Please set your Google calendar to remind yourself. The food ranges from "holy crap, this is actually delicious!" to "Okay, so apparently they've never had pork before." But overall, it's pretty great. There's actually two gyms on campus. One is in the student center, behind the post office and the other is in the main gym building. The equipment for both are pretty nice and updated, although you'll have more options in the main gym. The swimming pool is in a separate building but closes at 6pm on weekdays and isn't open on the weekend. The FLETC store is pretty awesome and it'll most likely become the hot spot when you're here because there just isn't a whole lot to do on campus. They offer pretty much everything you could want from boiled peanuts, an array of coconut water, blender cups for your protein shakes to your typical convenience store fare. No alcohol though. The main reason this campus is better than its mothership in Glynco is because downtown is a lot closer to base. You're just an annoying shuttle ride away from Charleston. But Lyft (cheaper than Uber here) is also an option. Just remember that you'll have to walk to and from the Guest Center at the entrance. Other than that, enjoy the pungent paper mill smell that will definitely waft into your classrooms. Also, prepare to see cockroaches the size of chickens everywhere...I'm sorry, palmetto bugs. *rolls eyes* And watch out for the herd of Coasties marching towards you.

They have completely revamped the place and while keeping some of the asteheic... I miss the courtyard... However, I'm excited for CofC to finally have a legitimate Box Office l! The coloring inside is very sevties vibey. For an arts center I would have expected some pizzaz ... Some flair or at least a little creativity. Happy the Recital Hall remains vasty unchanged. The acoustics this place have remained intact post reno! It was nostalgic being here again and brought back fond memories of the CofC Concert Choir when we won ACDA Regionals in Nashvillen& were invited to participate in Nationals at the Walt Disney Music Hall in LA under the direction of Dr. Robert Taylor. Happy to have gotten to attend the final Monday Night Concert Series @ Simmons & celebrate the man, the legend who started it all, Dr.Steve Rosenberg.
