Worth walking in for a look around!…read more This galleria is a shopping mall with about a dozen odd stores, and a number of government offices. Some stores you may recognize at Uniqlo, Mango, Calvin Klein Jeans, and Havaianas. Gave it a 3 though since there's not a whole lot to do or see here outside of the stores and a couple cafes/restaurants. Located opposite Piazza Colonna, the building sports a stately facade (like many buildings do in Rome), and its interior impresses with floor to ceiling Art Nouveau style details, reminiscent of many buildings in Prague. While not the most elaborate designs out there, the square stained glass ceilings are noteworthy. This small mall is shaped like a "V" and divided into two walkways, with each point leading to an exit. Hours are 9am-8pm daily. Restrooms inside need payment so plan accordingly.

The staff was super kind and let me take my time to decide which bag I wanted to treat myself to. The prices are higher than the ones in the area but these bags quality reflect that higher price as many bags near by the stitching and leather were not as high quality so the value felt fair.

Yes, Porta Portese has more of a flea market vibes but it is so huge that you are bound to find something neat if you're patient enough. I browsed through some vintage stands and didn't find anything to bring back... but was able to find a nice pair of new baggy jeans on the other side of the market toward the residential area. On our way back we were able to find some local artwork in post card size to bring back for friends and family. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area and into treasure hunting. There are a lot of retro items that I would've loved to buy, but it would've been too heavy to bring back to the U.S. We ended up buying a Beatles vinyl record, fans (4 for $1), and other small items for gifts. We realized fairly quickly that the sparkle was because of all the lovely glass Murano jewelry and this shop had an amazing variety, and also a great mix of modern as well as traditional designs. Loved the eclectic design and the shop also had a cool mod decor. The store has some really very charming jewelry pieces, and at a very good prices too! What also really tickled my funny bone was this vintage Departures signage, just behind the shop's counter, and it displayed upcoming plane departures from Rome's airport. It was just unexpectedly quirky and cool - quite like the shop! The owner was really kind, very friendly and not pushy at all about selling the beautiful jewelry in his shop. Recommend checking it out, as all the jewelry is authentic from Murano, and made in Italy. Yelp 274/ 2018
