I was so grateful to have discovered this amazing custom cakery just outside of Pittsburgh. My daughter had just begun her freshman year at Pitt and was celebrating her 19th birthday away from us and our home in NY for the first time. She had a vision for her cake, and I was so fortunate to find this gem of a bakery and its outstanding staff. My husband purchased a red velvet brownie which must have been amazing because he wasn't willing to share, only commenting that it was soft,chewy and delicious. When he wasn't looking, I stole a pumpkin cookie out of the bag and packed the moist, cake-like cookie into my mouth like a squirrel. The frosting on top is what made it for me, not too sweet or gritty - I really like soft cookies and (if this place wasn't an hour away) would gladly come back for more. They also offered a variety of cake pop flavors, stunning special occasion cakes & cute little pies. The prices are a little higher than what I'm used to back home but not unreasonable either. I ended up getting standard glazed donut (they had just sold the last of their blueberry cake to the guy in front of me ) and a maple frosted vanilla cream filled stick. Oh man...the glazed donut was 10 out of 10. I waited to have the second donut until later in the day and man...that maple frosted was amazing! Totally worth stopping. Fantastic place. Fantastic staff. Fantastic donuts. They have been making donuts for a long time and with them being this good...I understand why they have been successful at doing it.
