We just had a full service and the family showed a video. We had to sit on the side of the room and they didnt pull down the screen on the opposite wall, so many of us completely missed out. That was not cool. They have an area where the family can meet after the service to eat and talk. We just did a potluck and it worked out great.

But then you sent me a bill 2 months later for 3grand. I don't want to disrespect my gram like you guys did but after 2 weeks Of holding her because you weren't sure if a retired FEDERAL employees life insurance policy wouldn't line your pockets fast enough.. my grandmothers face looked melted and stretched . Thanks for the image Thats forever stuck in my head. And the night BEFORE the funeral, you requested that I have all my family just change plans to Friday AND Monday now. I don't think that how bereavement works. so most of my family attending couldn't go. She was also a retired VET. So most missed out on attending her honorary Burial. All because you didn't get confirmation that a retired fed employee and retired vets insurance didnt clear yet.. (the ambulance that transported her to the hospital emts literally stole my grandmas purse and all her stuff so getting a dd214 for her military background was extremely difficult to acquire) and they were aware of this situation but didn't care Obviously. When the headstone FINALLY got there. The plaque was crooked!! And I looked around at others.. those looked fine.. then I noticed.. wth!? NO VASE?! That we paid for!... My gram was very good too you guys seeing and that you got around 40k for 2 funerals and Then absolutely disrespect her like that. I am so disgusted with not only your lousy service but the emts as well and rather be thrown in a landfill before I would ever use you again like you used my gram and my family. There's more but it's not even worth it. For those that read this, I would NOT recommend using this funeral home..

Moore Funeral Home and Cremation is by far the best. They went above and beyond to not only comfort…read moreour family in our time of need, but took care of so many things they didn't even have to. They made the planning process as easily and simple as possible. They offer so many wonderful things but didn't come across as overwhelming. They were also the most affordable after calling around to multiple different places. Chris was the friendlies, most understanding and patient man who had helped our family with everything. Appalling, cruel, and completely devoid of professionalism…read more I recently left services for a close family member at Yanda & Son Funeral Home in Yukon, and the behavior of the owners, Donna and Kathy Yanda, was absolutely horrific. During a time of deep grief for our family, I witnessed these two women actively destroying floral arrangements that had been delivered to honor our deceased loved one. Worse yet, none of the other flower arrangements sent by grieving friends and family ever made it graveside--they simply vanished under their care. To make an already devastating day unbearable, Donna and Kathy stood there openly laughing at me, explicitly mocking either my appearance or the vehicle I drove. Shockingly, this is not an isolated incident; I have witnessed these exact same individuals display this crude, hostile, and socially unacceptable behavior at multiple funerals here. A funeral home is legally and ethically bound to provide a place of solace and dignity. Instead, the Yanda women treat human tragedy like a joke. Take your loved ones elsewhere if you want them treated with basic human decency.

Funeral director Jo Sicard has carefully divided The Hubster's final remains into three containers -- one for burial in a small vault in the cemetery, one in a cloisonne urn for a relative in Missouri, and one for myself in an itsy bitsy stainless tube locket emblazoned with Tibetan script (i.e., a snippet from the universally beloved Compassion sutra). Viewing was in a small room, which appeared to be the embalming room. The deceased was laid out on a metal stretcher and had on the same clothing at time of body pickup with a travel pillow behind his head. Several family members were shocked about the presentation of the deceased and disturbed about the way the viewing was conducted. It did not appear that our family member was given the level of care and respect that he deserved and made a difficult period ever more disheartening.
