We ended up pausing the project and came back to it a few months later (with some changes). He was just as responsive, adjusted the quote without any hassle, and was able to start the very next day. The work was completed the same day, his crew were polite and professional, and everything turned out great. After the job, we noticed an irrigation line had been accidentally damaged. He came back first thing the next morning and fixed it himself, no questions asked. He even volunteered some additional advice on other drip irrigation we have. Really appreciate how easy he made the whole process from start to finish. His pricing is fair and he takes pride in his work. My husband and I are not rich people, so he made renderings that are to be either used right away, or done at a later date to help spread our money out. He not only does the design and renderings, but he helped us find our floor guy (and we love our floors!), furniture, shades, paint, etc. He knew we are on a budget, so he worked with our budget to find things that are affordable and sustainable. The workers were careless in the way they cut the turf boarders and installed the Bend-a-board edging. The turf edges rolled up in a matter of a few days and the boards lifter out of the ground. We had them do the edges over again twice and same crappy results. Just the worst workmanship.
