Worst experience ever! If I could give them no stars, I would! They took a complete set of xrays…read moreand panoramic and now say that they never did or don't have all of them. Why would you only take a partial set of xrays on an initial exam and then somehow delete the xrays of the teeth that are of concern? Because you don't won't another dentist seeing that you completely overlooked areas of significant problems. Staff that presented treatment plan were extremely aggressive in demanding payment for half of the cost of plan(plan total of $18,000) which I had concerns with and hadn't agreed to yet. I have seen credible biological dentists where I previously lived with great success. Dr Yelle proposed treatments that directly conflicted with his assessments, ie implants in areas where there is significant bone loss. He clearly doesn't understand biological dentistry and was obviously just out to make a buck. Dr Yelle is a charlatan and his work is extremely lacking. Another dentist that I went to for a second opinion said that "in his opinion, his licensed should be revoked" and pointed out all of the areas that went unaddressed, including an infection in the tooth that initially brought me to him. . All of the work that he did do and that I paid $1800 for, has to be redone because none of the fillings are sealed. Other dentist's plan was significantly less in cost with more work getting done, the right way. Stay away if you value your health and your wallet!

I went to Dr. Hughes to get whiter teeth. His walls are filled with pictures of smiling people --…read morebefore and afters -- with varying degrees of whitened teeth. I wanted the whitest. Since bleach was difficult with my sensitive teeth, and the bleach would leak and I'd have to swallow it, I made the big decision to have him do veneers. It was very expensive so not a light decision. But my then husband left me for ... and I decided I would do something to feel better about myself. I was very clear with Dr. Hughes about what I wanted. During the procedure he persuaded me that a darker shade I than what I wanted would be as white as I was asking for. He said, "Trust me, it will look that white when they are on". I did... after all he's done so many of these, right? Well, he made them the same color they were originally. In fact ten years later, my lower teeth are the same shade as the upper veneers, with coffee and no bleaching this whole time. What is worse is that now they are permanently yellow. I cannot bleach veneers. Teeth whitening has improved over the last decade but I have no access to use those methods with veneers. I dumped thousands of dollars to get permanentaly yellow teeth. It makes me sick to think about it, and has for years. What's worse was his controlling attitude. He was my and my kids general dentist and every time I went in it was same thing, "Let me see... oh, they look so good!" I would respond, "No, I am not happy with them, I asked for whiter teeth and you gave me yellow ones." His response, "Oh you wouldn't want whiter teeth than that. You came in asking for larger teeth, anyway." Me, "No, I came in for whiter teeth. The larger size was a "might as well while I'm at it"". Dr. Hughes, "Oh you wouldn't want whiter teeth than that." He was telling me what I wanted and didn't want. I was a train wreck at the time and couldn't stand up to his controlling ways. But I was stuck bringing my kids there by our Parenting Plan, and had to endure him every six months. Luckily we were able to change dentists since he doesn't take dental insurance and it was a justifiable reason to change. I went back more recently, after recovering from the experiences that made me a train wreck back then. I respectfully confronted him. He was just the same, telling me what I wanted. This time I was strong enought to not let him roll over me and tell me what I wanted. He would not stand behind his work. Now I see people who had yellower teeth than mine with the bright white teeth I wanted, for the smaller cost of bleach. When my teenage daughter, who loves photography, has to go in and touch up pictures to whiten my teeth, oh it makes me sick to have spent so much money to only to create a worse problem. I'm stuck with yellow teeth until I can earn and save thousands more dollars to fix what he did with new veneers. I'm afraid for having to shave off more of my natural teeth to do so. If you want white teeth and have decided on veneers, I strongly recommend you pick a different cosmetic dentist.
