While I really liked the deals at tri County bazaar I do not shop here anymore. The reason being that in May 2019 I was shopping in Tri-County I was harassed by an employee who was a security guard. The incident occurred in the dressing room where I asked the guard to leave because he could see into the dressing room and he refused. Dressing rooms are a place where people are changing their clothes and may or may not be in their undergarments I do not think it is professional or necessary to have a man watching females changing in the dressing rooms. I believe that they should place a female guard around dressing rooms especially female dressing rooms. When I try to voice my concerns I was dismissed and I have not heard back from tri-county as of yet and it is August 2019. I will not be coming back to the store and I am also going to let other women no it is not safe to shop here read more

This review is for DAVIDS FINE JEWLERY/ GARDEN OF JEWELS in the jewlery department of tricounty. If I could give this place a no star rating I would. I had purchased what they said was a 14K gold ring from them on August 25, 2018 and it is now October 26 2018 for my sister as a maid of honor gift. The ring I loved was yellow gold and they were nice enough to plate it for me so my sister could have white gold instead....that's about as nice as they got. Took it home never thinking I'd have to see them again but then October came. My sister had had this ring for about 2 months and just last weekend noticed a crack in the band of the ring. Thinking maybe it was just the plating she wasnt thinking it would break nearly just an imperfection in the ring. Today comes and the band completely breaks in 2, the ring still together but the band is no longer attached to either side. My sister takes a photo of my receipt along with their business card to see what can be done about the ring and is told by an older woman that she must have done something to the ring and that it was her fault. (My sister is a secretary and doesnt do any heavy physical activities) especially with her rings on. She was then told by the woman they would fix it and it would take a half hour.... 2 min later her son or whoever he is comes back with a shaved down ring that is now thinner and no longer round. My sister asked to see where the stamp proving that it was a 14k gold ring was and he said "not everything gets stamped" and he cant promise it wont happens again if she wears it. I being the one who purchased the ring am now livid hearing this on the phone. I decide to call and again speak with the older woman who is most likely an innocent bistandard, until I got the man on the phone. He tells me everything can break and it's not realistic to say that it wont. I agreed and yes yes sir i understand that but to tell me that after only owning the ring for 2 months the ring should not be snapping. I asked for a refund if i returned with my receipt he said NO REFUNDS. After barely owning the ring for 2 months and giving that kind of an explanation I just want my money back. This place is an experience as you have booths, Unique, a jewelry exchange and eclectic food stands. Jewelry wise the exchange is an experience in itself, it's a big selection but prices fluctuate depending on the day. They're pretty ok for repairs. Haggle for the best price. Watch the item condition and what similar items are selling at online as well, they start high if you don't haggle. Unique is always an experience to browse but it gets picked clean. Since visiting Tri-County Flea Market (don't let the name "jewelry exchange" fool you, this place is a straight up flea market) 2 weeks ago, I have had the same recurring nightmare. I'm running through the maze of tee-shirt, knock off hand bag, and tacky clothing booths that make up the first floor of this horror show, being chased by a pack of zombie vendors who insist I buy their trinkets or they'll steal my soul and devour my innards. I escape them and take refuge on the mezzanine level only to be bludgeoned to death by Bobcat Goldthwait with a piece of bogus sports memorabilia. This place is gross. read more

The place is a dump, it's a flea market inside. Knock off handbags, wigs, knives, clothing, toys, perfume, you name it they probably have it. I do however come here when I'm looking for jewelry, specifically something gold because the entire second floor is all jewelers. For the most part all the sellers will work with you and help you find what you want. Others however are extremely pushy, trying to get you to buy something you don't want and get mad at you if you want to look around. They do have lots of options and they can even order you something if they don't have it on display. Plenty of crosses, miraculous medals, hearts, and other charm necklaces. Lots of diamond choices as well. Recently purchased something from Golden Taj and the woman working was very helpful and patient with me as I stared at two things for about 15 mins debating which one I wanted. You can exchange a purchase within 7 days. The knish/pickle lady downstairs isn't very attentive and a little snobby. I almost didn't buy something from her cause she didn't notice me standing there for 5 mins while she was sitting in the back of her stand doing idk what. I walked around and came back cause I really wanted a knish haha. I also think her pickles are over priced. Plain knish was just ok - too dry and the sweet potato one lacked flavor. I did score a $12 leather belt made in the good ol USA. And the women who run the pretzel/pizza stand were really sweet. $4 for a pretzel dog. They also have gyros, empanadas and other things to eat on the first level. read more

Tricounty, a flea market filled with awesome little booths owned by locals where you could get anything from a fresh baked pretzel to super cheap hair clips. Oh wait, I was thinking of what it USED to be like. NOW a new owner has taken over and raised the booth rent forcing most of the local booth owners (who have been there for years) out. A large part of the first floor is a tacky "thrift" store selling bags of used crayons and dingy old toys. The remaining booths consist of just a few of the original booths and TONS of knockoff perfume booths. The downstairs has a few booths but is mostly filled with MORE "thrift" crap and the entire floor smells like curry. Poor Levittown now has to be stained with this poor excuse of a "Flea Market"... The one star is only for the few original booths there. read more

Oh, Tri County. I've grown up going here so it's sort of nostalgic to me. I like to walk around Unique every now and then, it's just kind of funny to me. You can find an old box of tampons, an ab roller, a walker, and cassette tapes for sale all in one space. It's just like a big store of junk people don't want! Lol. Seriously, I've seen the most random stuff in there, not joking about the tampons! On to the other part of Tri County, I never buy anything here either. The threading station there is good though, so I'll hit that up from time to time. I think most of the stores sell counterfeit perfumes and colognes and expired makeup! This Review is for LITTLE RAY'S PIZZA in the rear food court. I go in Unique Thrift a couple times a week to source my Ebay business and feed my own junk collecting. When ever I go to the Levittown store, I have to get a slice. For me, it's in the top 3 pizzas. Dani's in Kew Gardens, New Park in Howard beach...And this little dive, buried in the back of a junk store. I have no idea why or how this place makes such great pizza. It's just one old Spanish guy working there. He doesn't seem to care one way or the other. I never actually see anybody making pizza. It's just there, always ready. I think it's made somewhere else, and reheated in the convection oven behind the counter(they don't even have a real pizza oven). It's real old fashion, hand made pizza though. Not like Domino's crap. It just seems like an odd place to find great pizza. As far as the Tri-County building goes. It's a dump. It's ALWAYS been a dump. The indoor flea market took over the defunked Mays department store in 1984. It was a dump then, and absolutely nothing has changed. The doors and floor tiles still say Mays. There are specific reasons to shop here. They have unique booths such as the air brush booth which is difficult to find anywhere else. The jewelry exchange on the upper level is a great way to do comparison shopping because within a few thousand square feet, you can compare the prices and selection of dozens of dealers. The prices are decent but not amazing. As you walk around, the vendors are eager to help so you won't stand at any booth wondering why you're not being helped. You'll find a few pushy salesperson type vendors but not many. This place was more impressive in the 90s. It seems run-down now, starting with the outside of the building. read more

On the recommendation of my partner at work, I went to the GOLDEN TAJ booth on the second floor of the Tri County Unique Bazaar, and found a treasure trove of amazing jewelry with extremely reasonable prices! Meg was such a sweetheart to do business with - not only did she show me several pair of earrings that worked perfectly for what I was shopping for, she also proceeded to gift wrap the earrings for me as well. I went to shinning star beauty supply last week Sunday to buy a wig for Halloween . They were very helpful and eager to sell me a wig. I found one but I needed it to be curly and the man said oh you can curl and cut it takes heat up to 350 degrees. I was skeptical but he showed me other wigs that said takes heat 380 etc . Also it was the last one so it was floor model. Needless to say it would not curl so I tried to exchange the it the Sunday after because I work and he wouldn't exchange or return . He wouldn't even listen to what I had to say . He said he can't because of state law and why did I wait a whole week because if I had come earlier he would have which totally contradicts what he said. He threatened to call security . Zareen Jewelers This booth is horrible - they sell cheaply made jewelry and falls apart. I purchased a bangle bracelet and within months the bracelet started getting holes in different spots, the lock was breaking. When I went to the booth for some help and did not acknowledge me until after their customers that was viewing their junk left - as they were afraid I was going to cause a scene and have them not do a purchase. When I finally spoke with the Owner, he tried blaming me for causing this damage and stating the bracelet is bent!!! I bought 12 bracelets from JOAN JEWELRY and within a couple of weeks, it broke. The elastic tore and all the beads fell apart. I went back to let her know and she started yelling at me. Told me that she didn't even handle that bracelet. I went upstairs and told management and SHOWED THEM THE SAME BRACELET ON DISPLAY IN HER BOOTH. She would not give me another bracelet or return my money....nothing. I was going to give the jewelry as gifts BUT I CAN NOT TRUST HER PRODUCT SINCE THE FIRST BRACELET BROKE AFTER A COUPLE OF WEEKS. I called Grant the manager and he has not returned my call. Fran in the office was helpful but no one has followed up. STAY AWAY FROM JOAN. BAD NEWS I stopped going to TRI COUNTY. read more

I don't recommend visiting here. Unfortunately, the goods are all quite repetitive and rather poorly made. Instead of selling unique items the Tri-Counry Bazaar fails to produce any significant form of attraction or appeal. The building it is housed within itself is poorly maintained and could use a face lift and major interior renovations. Overall, this location is not worth your visit. read more

Even though the Unique on Old Country Road is a little smaller and only one floor I actually find the quality of the items to be a little better in terms of brands and new with tags or like new items. This one seems to have a lot of broken junk, damaged goods, etc. They can definitely step it up in terms of quality control. I can't lie though I have found the occasional gem here the only problem is that since there is that much more stuff it takes much longer to sift through and find. Another issue I have with this store is they really lack any kind of toddler section. It seems like they have a lot of newborn to 12 months stuff and then it just jumps to young kids sizes like 4T and up at least in the boys section anyway. My recent scores here is a brand new leather B. Makowsky purse for $10, a Bebe clutch new with tags for $20 and some leather Clarks Artisan sandals in superb condition for $7.99, a gigantic pier 1 candle for 3.99, and a boxed stonewear square plate set for $3.99. Do yourself a favor and get their app and start collecting points so you will get additional discounts and alerts about super sales. I find that they put out nicer items on days when they don't offer the 25% off discount. My best luck is on Tuesdays. I rarely check out any of the other shops in the Bazaar mostly because I spend most of my time at Unique and have limited browsing time elsewhere. read more

(This is for the Flea Market portion ...NOT the Thrift Store) HISTORY: In the days of olde- Flea Markets were like giant garage sales with vendors selling old junk & old treasures--depending on your point of view. (SEE: the Bellmore Train Station Flea Market for a REAL flea market going on today) Sometime in the late 1970s & early 1980s...things changed. People selling "old junk" fell by the wayside and people selling NEW junk took over! -packages of sox & underwear -sports "memorabilia" like NASCAR crap & shiny holographic baseball cards -"designer" pocketbooks & purses -designer jeans & brand name sneakers -pretzels/cotton candy/junk food - nail salon fixins -sporting goods -hideous "framed art" & prints & decorative clocks. I mean f**king HIDEOUS ! I mean like- stuff that possibly would be on the walls of a cut-rate whore house--and the whores would be like "that sure is some ugly ass artwork"!) Am I making my point here? -the booths that sell those horrible ornate knives & swords & Chinese ninja stars (what the f**k are you going to do with those?! Really now.) Then........by the 1990s those "new skool" flea markets died out because of the internet & major Wal*Mart / Target taking over EVERYWHERE. Too much cheap crap to buy everywhere. For some weird reason THIS ONE remains. It's pathetic and sad. I feel bad for the vendors here-- it's like a ghost town. This was a Mays department store in the 1960s, 1970s and maybe the early 1980s. And it shows! Kinda cool in that way. The escalator is an out dated putrid industrial pink color that actually makes you sick when you look at it. LOL. Worth the trip to see the remains of an old fashioned department store. Unpopular opinion, but I like this place more now as a thrift store + flea market than I did before it changed owners. The flea market was fine when I was 12 and they had stands selling Sailor Moon knock offs and cheap used SNES games and I sometimes needed 6 scrunchies for $1, but once I grew up I lost any need for counterfeit clothing and gaudy cheap jewelry. I'm in love with Unique thrift store though. Clothing prices are actually good for used clothing, I've gotten plenty of dresses for under $10. So much stuff, yes lots of junk, but some decent stuff too if you have the time to look. Prices are kinda random - I've seen the same exact items being sold at the same time for different prices more than once. Furniture is dirt cheap as well (unless you want a rocking chair, sigh), as are plates/bowls/cups if you have a new place to furnish. They also put the most random things behind the counter - Sims 2 games out on the floor for $3 each, Sims 1 games behind the counter for like $12 each, wtf? Mondays everything in the store is 25% off. Clothing is arranged by size, always nice. My only complaint is that they sell used car seats, which is unsafe. Otherwise, love this place, at least for the thrift store. Still don't go into the flea market, because I still don't need knock-off clothes and cheap toys from China I can get at a dollar store for cheaper. read more

I have regularly brought our family's watches here when they need new batteries. I go to S. + H. Watch in Aisle 4, where a husband-wife team efficiently, carefully, and successfully replace the batteries, usually for $5. They do an excellent job. Yesterday I asked for the booth's phone number because I hoped to write this recommendation: 516-579-0554. Cash only, when the work is complete.I find it easiest to enter the building from the north side, where the Town of Hempstead maintains a huge parking lot. Not what it used to be. Not by a LONG shot. I remember the days way back when they were only open on weekends, and the area was flourished with all different kinds of booths, arcade games, video games, t-shirt shops, and actual VARIETY; a busy and lively bustle of customers made things more appealing as well. These days there are far, FAR fewer vendors then there used to be way back when, and half the time only some of these vendors are even open. On top of that, most of the vendors sell mainly the same types of products (sunglasses, sports cards, purses, gawdy crap, iphone cases, and useless junk). There is also almost 50% of the real estate space taken up by just one retail-style vendor which sells what looks like donated crap that nobody living above the poverty line will even care to have (old dusty books, VHS tapes, loose trinket toys, ugly clothing, old and possibly unworking household small appliances like irons, tube tvs, and stereo equipment taken out of 1985). On the basement floor there is somewhat of a gaming area with pool tables nobody is playing at and arcade cabinets of which only a quarter are actually turned on. Upstairs in the Mezzanine level there are some collectible items like sports figures and cards, and even a pop culture "nerd/geek" vendor selling collectible and valuable action figures and old video games. While the selection there is pretty decent, the products themselves are too overpriced to be practical, and some can easily be found on ebay/amazon, or just another retail chain for somewhat to significantly cheaper, AND in better condition (lots of these toy packages are dusty, grimy, aged, and in overall just average condition. A big no-no for collectors). The vendors themselves are nothing to smile at either - mostly unhelpful slobby types whose overall demeanor you'd just rather stay away from. I seriously feel bad for one girl who works there that I've seen on multiple occasions. Talk about a bad self-esteem. ...and overhearing their chatter, the ONLY thing they ever talk about is comic universes! I mean, I know I'm into that too but seriously, get a life. On top of it all, the general atmosphere and look of the entire place is just depressing. I have yet to find ANYTHING worth buying there in over a decade and I've lived in the area for 20 years. The only reason I'm giving this 2 stars and not 1 is because it can be somewhat fun to browse through at times, but I'm never there for more than a few minutes and quite honestly don't want to be. Unless you're desperate, just stick to your regular retailers. read more

Looking for a special Valentine gift at the tri-county jewelry exchange, honestly I spent over an hour. One booth was more amazing than any of the others I believe the name was golden taj. Two young ladies were so helpful I wish I could hire them for customer service in my Business. After laying all the choices out, I chose a ring. They worked with me in every way including a great price. I can't wait for Valentine's Day because I'm so excited with the choice these young ladies help me with I'm 100% sure my wife will be very excited. Been here in and out for several years. The jewelry especially diamonds are not GIA certified and the dealers are middlemen that only purchase from wholesale by eye and cheap price, not grade quality. Expect no more then 30% -40% of your trade in for your jewelry. Save your time and find a reputable place but if you want a easy middle man for a fast and cheaper price which includes everything but watches, then this is your place to go. Nice and pretty false advertises, Romanza jewelry is good but will low ball on exchanges or trade in. Good place to find 14k, not ideal for custom jewelry, 24K gold, .999 platinum, and TRUE GIA VS,S1 diamonds. read more
