Umpqua Bank has been a pleasure to work with. Umpqua Bank in Garberville…read more helped me with several loans, buying properties, and are easy to work with. Umpqua Bank is the best bank that I personally have ever done business with. An awesome bank with awesome employees.

In my opinion the Worlds worst bank with the worlds worst employees. I live 6 hrs away from the Garberville branch so I have to do it by mail and phone. They said I would have to open a new account to get a joint checking with the new manager. They sent me the paper work, I filled it out and sent it back. The new property manager then went into the bank to get added on to the account a couple of weeks later. They then said that paperwork wasn't adequate and they were going to send me new paperwork and I would have to get it notarized. I waited a couple of weeks and still didn't received the paperwork. I called the bank they then said they're not sending the paper work and I would have to drive to the San Jose Umpqua branch 45 min from my house to show my Id. No follow up phone call to tell me this as I'm waiting for it in the mail. I showed my ID to the San Jose Umpqua bank and we called Sierra at the Garberville Umpqua to see if anything else was required. The teller at the San Jose Umpqua asked Sierra if a signature cards was required. She said no we already have it. The only thing you have to do is to have your new property manager come in. The new property manager came in a week later and they said that they can't add her on until I fill out a signature card. Sierra said that when I went to the San Jose Umpqua I should have told them what I was doing there and they would have known to get a signature card from me. This is after we called her from the bank and asked her what was required. I've left phone messages with her and the manager to call me back three times. No phone calls were ever returned. After wasting my time and misleading me, my property manager and I finally gave up and switched banks to Chase.
