This place was an absolute gem! It was 100% the best meal my entire trip. The restaurant was an old bank vault which is really neat. The service was warm and friendly. We came for lunch before the Christmas Market. I ordered a mixed salad and the deer medallions with spaetzle. Best thing I've had! The flavors were so amazing! Make sure you bring enough cash (there is an atm across the street), as they do not take credit cards. We got into town late this evening and after checking into our hotel needed somewhere for dinner that was open later. We walked down to the Tresor. The amazing server was able to make some space for us on the patio because the weather was beautiful. There can be a nice breeze that rolls down Main Street. They keep blankets in the seats out on the patio and the server is very concerned about making sure everyone is comfortable. We couldn't pronounce 90% of what was on the menu but it has English translations under each item which is a god send. We were able to order by simply pointing at the menu and our server understood what we wanted. She also spoke decent English which helped immensely. The food came out in a timely manor and it was all AMAZING. I was astonished by the large portions (for Europe) and it was still delicious. Nice restaurant in Triberg with German style food. We had the roasted pork with egg noodle as well as the beef and pork sausages with egg noodle. The food tastes quite good and the portions definitely made us full. It was a little chilly that day and the restaurant had blankets for us to use and the server made it a point to get us even more blankets in case we need them. The service is great compared to many places we've been to in Germany where we you'd be lucky if the server cracked a smile. I'd recommend this place to anyone looking for a good meal while staying in Triburg or just passing through. read more

Great find in Triberg. I ordered a roasted pork and spatzle dish. The pork was very tender and flavorful. My husband ordered the Black Forest pasta with cream sauce, bacon, and ham. Very quick, friendly service, reasonable price, and large portions. We also brought our two dogs and they were treated like family. This place had the best Soup I've ever had in my life. Mostly broth with little vegetables. I just wished I knew what kind it was. This soup was the kind that feels like it was simmering on a stove for ever. I crave it today still after four years ago. Some tell me what kind it was please. read more
