After my first cut/style, to say I was extremely pleased would be an understatement. Upon walking in, the vibes were high and this felt promising. Barbers were welcoming, greeting people by their first names when they entered, social, and overall comfortable and engaging. When it was my turn, I was greeted by Jason with a handshake and asked exploratory questions about what I was looking for. Jason totally understood me and gave great suggestions. He was extremely professional and detailed. Before he started he explained every step he would make along the way to ensure we were on the same page. We discussed products that would enhance my style and he got to work. The professionalism, display of knowledge/skill, cut, product selection, and style were perfect! The first perm was $85 plus a $35 trim.. seriously, two snips off the front. The second time we came Kamila charged $95, which whatever- she should've said that it went up 10 bucks, but looking back I feel she was feeling like I wouldn't question $10- and I didn't. The third perm (3 months later) I went up to pay and I thought she said $85, I put my card in and then noticed it said $185. I felt a punch to my gut as I was walking out, and I didn't want to question in front of my son to embarrass him. I immediately contacted Kamila after leaving and she said she would look at what she charged me previously. Hours later, she said " the prices have gone up and I "think" I had a sign up a month ago, but I must've taken it down before you came in!" This is where it really gets disheartening. There are absolutely no signs of pricing in this salon, and there shouldn't be! No salons put up pricing on a wall.! There are not even prices for perms listed on her menu as she said from the beginning, that perms are a rarity at this salon. This is my problem, Kamila is the owner of the salon. She was deceitful and she knows she was. You have absolutely every right as an owner to charge whatever you want. As a repeat customer- if you went up 100% in the service you better - make sure you tell your customer this BEFORE the service. There are no prices on the menu for this service. I work in a high-end aesthetics salon. When the price of Botox or fillers goes up, I am upfront with my clients BEFORE the service, and we are only talking a small increase- not 100% increase. We will, of course, never go back to Enve or recommend to anyone . I only took the time to put this review to help and spare anyone else from being embarrassed and taken advantage of. I am so glad I was there with my son, as my other son was going to take him and he only had $85 with him as he works extra just to pay for this service!! He would have been so embarrassed!
