After years of being a happy customer of PrintWest, I recently had a terrible experience that has…read moremade me wonder if things are changing over there. I run a company that does communication work with nonprofits that serve impoverished and marginalized people in the US and around the world. We recently worked with PrintWest on a print and mail job (mailing small packets to hundreds of US locations). This was time sensitive so we repeatedly asked for first-class mailing and reiterated our condensed time frame. When it came time to do the mailing, our PrintWest rep chose to use a cheaper mailing method - despite our previous asks about first-class service and timing. Packets did not get to the recipients on time, and our client relationship was severely strained. That's bad. What's worse is that I confronted our sales rep Greg about this several times via telephone and email. I requested a refund of the mailing costs only (print job and costs were fine), since we should not have to pay to have our client relationships strained by the mistakes of a vendor. I've never received a response on my repeated requests - not a "absolutely let's make this work for you" or we're working on it" or a "we can't do it and here's way." Just radio silence. This is no way to treat loyal customers. I still think that PrintWest does a good job printing, and they're Seattle local and usually easy to work with. But apparently if they mess up, they're not willing to take responsibility or even respond to inquiries. That's enough for me to be done.
