What??????!!! Even Moda was confused. I'm just going to go to another orthopedic. I can't even call to talk to someone. Whoever replies to the texts lacks customer service. It has been about two weeks since I was there!! So Moda said to try someone else. Funny, they mentioned to me that ROC advertised Euflexxa. Tell your employees then. I was so incredibly disappointed.

Too young for knee replacements, Dr. Wilson treated me for years with steroid injections and referrals for PT. When my left knee finally went out in 2013 and the right knee in 2015, Dr. Nanson was my surgeon as Dr. Wilson was no longer doing surgery. The transition of care was seamless. Having a medical condition that is now well known, I made sure to bring information to Dr. Nanson who read up on the condition, and with the asstance of a wound care expert, took special precautions that he later incorporated into all surgical recoveries. When I recently started having severe hip pain limiting my mobility, and my shoulder tendinitis decided to join the pain party, I didn't hesitate to seek assistance from Orthopedics NW. While we are still trying to identify the source of hip pain, the doctors and PAs I have seen have provided the same level of personal care and compassion. Xrays and MRIs will hopefully lead to a diagnosis and a path to regain my mobility and end the pain. My shoulder was far easier to resolve, the steroid injection gave my shoulder the relief it needed, calming the area and reducing the inflammation. The front office is as kind and efficient as the pool of doctors. Knowing my pain level, they not only sent the MRI referral immediately following my appointment, they called the facility to verify it was received. Then called me to let me know I didn't have to wait, that I could call Rayus to schedule. Had MRI appointment scheduled within an hour if my doctor visit. That is rare! Sure hoping another surgery isn't in my future - I am already bionic enough - but if it's required, I know Dr. Nanson will perform the surgery with the same precision and post surgical care as the other two surgeries. I have referred several friends, some have had hips and knees replaced, and all had same experience as me.

I was dreading making an appointment with a specialist before calling sports medicine Oregon. To my surprise making the appointment online was incredibly easy and I was able to complete everything without any need to call and speak to anybody. That was awesome! I don't have a lot of time in my day to call and go through the endless back-and-forth of trying to find a date which works. Of course with any medical provider the equality of service is the most important piece. I felt as if the doctor took the time to understand my problem and to learn what activities I wanted to get back to that I wasn't able to. He suggested physical therapy exercises that I may not have tried before and quickly made a referral to get an MRI after I told him all of the different things I had tried before coming to see them. While no one wants to go see a doctor, if you do need to see a sports medicine doctor, this is the place to go.

Well, it looks like I'm not the first to report this company and their unethical SKETCHY BILLING…read morePRACTICES! I wish I would have seen the previous review about this prior to becoming a (formerly) loyal customer. I was a years long Benchmark patient, and have gone to three different locations and seen several PTs. Recently, I took a break from PT, intending to resume in the Spring. However, that changed the other day when I received a collections notice out of the blue; I received no calls, no emails, no mention at my biweekly appointments, and no knowledge that I owe them anything beyond the fee I paid at every single visit over the years. I did receive EOBs from my insurance, and receipts for my visits which I became accustomed to recycling as I was under the impression I had paid in full each visit. I have now spent hours of my day going through my insurance claims over the last two years to review each date the collections noticed listed. In doing so, I realized they did not even credit the listed visits in collections with the amount I paid at each appointment. This business has received years of payments from me and my insurance company, yet once I took a pause on therapy, they silently sent me to collections on a balance owed I was not aware of; this will impact my credit, and the chance I will ever go to their business again, regardless of how great *some* of their PTs are. This time I'll look for a local non-franchised company to support, who does not have a corporate conglomerate drooling at the opportunity to sneakily stick it to their patients.

I called NW Extremity in Nov. 2024 to request an appointment. I was told Jan. 8th then in Dec. 2024 I was told Jan. 22nd. I went to my appointment to be told it was really Jan 29th!! I went to the appointment on the 29th. Dr. Mah spent 2 minutes with me while I tried to explain the the toenail was causing pain. He said there was nothing wrong with my toenail but I needed surgery and ordered an x-ray. After x-ray he returned for maybe 5 minutes to tell me there was no infection but he needed an ultrasound to determine blood flow. And that he wanted to sever tendons in that toe to straighten it out. After the ultrasound I saw Dr. Mah again on the 19th of February. While waiting I observed other patients who had the same appointment time with Dr. Mah as I did. Again he spent no more than 5 minutes with me. Told me my toes were cold and I needed this medication. At that time he observed the ulcers and did nothing to help that situation. I asked if he was going to send a prescription to my pharmacy and he told me as he was walking away that it cost $50 and someone would call me. Not what the medication was for! I assumed it was for the ulcers. I asked his assistant about the medication and he told me someone was going to call me and if I said yes they would send it! Again not what the medication was. After 2 days I had not heard anymore about the medication. I tried to call the office but there is no option to speak to anyone. They did say that the Milwaukie office would be open until 4 PM. I went to the office and the front counter tried to tell me they were closed. I told them their phone message said other wise. Found out the name of the "cash only" pharmacy and the name of the medication which was basically herbs that was for blood flow and nothing to help the ulcers. Too many red flags to feel confident about him coming near me with a scalpel. I went to my primary care give to be told there was bone exposure and was promptly correctly treated. The ulcers may have been an allergic reaction to topical pain relivers I was using. I have been referred to an orthopedic surgeon that specializes in foot and ankle. Needless to say I would never recommend Dr. Mah or NW Extremity.
