We opted for a raspberry mouse tart this time (photo). It was very good IMHO. Of course, it was not too sweet in comparison to American pastries. I think I can safely say that across the board about European desserts. Some American cakes are cloyingly sweet as if Americans are obsessed with sugar. Perhaps there's some truth to it. European desserts tend to be more elegant, or should I say, they offer sweetness with certain restraint. It must be very difficult to live so close to these good if not great bakeries and confectionaries. I think I'll be coming here everyday if I lived close by to try all the goodies they offer.

This bakery is around the corner from our house so we are here a few times a week to pick up rolls…read moreand such. He staff is very friendly - a previous reviewer said they don't speak English but that's no longer the case. There are at least two that speak English and are very kind with my two small children. In the warmer weather they sell ice cream, the cookie one is good! :)

Great little bakery cafe with reasonably priced food such as pretzels, little sandwiches and…read morepastries. They also have a breakfast menu with eggs, pancakes, etc. based on what little I could translate. Only downside was that the staff didn't speak any English but they were accommodating.
