We met our tour guide Jon and 5 others joined the tour as well. The tour price included the fare on the lightrail and bus to get to Dachau. It was really nice to not have to worry about the times and connections. Not that it would have been a huge deal, but when on vacation, I like to worry less about logistics. Jon was very knowledgeable and I am so glad that I did use InMunich Tours because it was nice to have someone talk about the key points of the Dachau Memorial. And over an easy 90 mins guided us through the beautiful and historically rich streets of Salzburg. Leo was fun, engaging and deeply knowledgeable about the history, culture and made outdoor learning on a chilly drizzly morning the highlight of the day! At the end of the tour, he gave out a little map and postcard so that we can find our way around and write home with the lovely adventures. Of course, i got to say, the concept of a free walking tour is that it is tip based. This encourages most of us have a freely ranging knowledge share but also, for those of us able to, definitely give what you would've paid for a standard guided tour... or more because the work is excellent. After the tour, Leo stayed behind for quite some time to give curated advice for what to do or see next. Since it is all outdoors, i felt covid safe throughout the trip. It was a rainy day so the captain said the water levels beyond the Mozart Bridge were too low, so we were just going to cruise for 30 minutes instead of the regular 40-45 minutes. The recorded informational video on the boat was not great. Not a lot of information on churches or landmarks as we cruised them by. The captain did not add much to the information on the places we were seeing. This has been the worst tourist river city cruise I've had in my life. Yes, the captain did the "cute" waltz dancing at the end of the cruise by making the boat go around a few times, but that was not memorable either. I am glad we did not pay for this, it was an included attraction on the Salzburg Card.

The tour takes you up the river and a bit out of the main part of the city. There are great views of both banks and the villas in the new part of the city.
